3 out of 5's not bad right? Right? o.o
Actually, 2 out of 3 ain't bad.
Okay...small rant here...
[HIDE]I worked last night at a rest stop on the NYS thruway and it was a slow night. The last 10 minutes, however, was hell.
Let me say this. There are 2 sets of money we need to keep right. A safe that is supposed to have $300, cash and change, and our drawer that should have $200, cash and change. Well, I had all my paperwork finished at 6:30 (get out at 7:00) and the drawer was counted, for the most part. Well, 1 woman showed up and bought a pack of cigs and then a black dude showed up and wanted to get gas on his car. Now, where I work, you have to pay cash first and use cards at the pump, minus the diesel pumps. So, this dude walks in and says "My wife is at the pump and we'd like to fill it up." I answered, "You have to pay first." I figured he heard me and went to ask her how much...not so. He went outside to look at the hats we had. After 2 or 3 minutes he walks in and says, "The pump says 'Waiting for Authorization'." I then repeated, "Yes, you have to pay
first." His excuse, "Oh, I didn't hear you." :redface2: So, he gave me a $20 to prepay $15, which I didn't care about, he pumped $13.34. (I hate it when people do that! Why not just pump until $14?! Or, hell, even $13.50!) So, he came in and gave him change for that and then he bought 2 hats. Now my money was COMPLETELY off.
At this time my replacement showed up and he is no people person. Also, at the same time a dude showed up to get diesel and wanted to pay cash. i told him he'd have to wait 5 minutes because I had to break shift. He didn't want to wait, because
apparently he was in a hurry. So he took out $450 and placed it on the counter and I told him that I'd turn the pump on after I broke shift. Well, the dude who replaced me wanted to count the drawer himself. I told him it would be way off and that I should count it first and THEN he could...he didn't listen to me. So, I went to the side and started to do paperwork as he counted. He counted it twice and on the second time the diesel dude came in and said, "The pump isn't on." After that, no one said anything else. After the second time counting the drawer he gave up. He turned around and said, "You count this. You have this so fucking off."

redface2

So, I counted it once and got it right. As I did the diesel dude said, "Can you just give me my money back? I can't wait." (This guy was an idiot! He pulls up in a HUGE Bus style RV and wanted $450 in gas. I'm thinking, "Pumping the gas alone would take 15-20 minutes!":shakefist) So, anyway, he left and I stepped back and my replacement then counted the drawer
2 more times and then the safe once. Everything was all set, so, I picked up my **** and left.[/HIDE]
Needless to say, that sucked.
