The Pro Wrestling Thread - No Gimmick Needed

The Commentators SUCK. I understand The Ascension ain't LOD or Demolition but the fact that the commentators legit burried a new team like that was just fucking lame. This isn't the first time they've done this either. I feels like all the momentum the team had is now gone and a complete joke because of what they said.

Not good for business.

The Authority really isn't the problem.......it is actually entertaining having an "authority heel" around for everyone to try to plot against.

The bigger issue here is that there isn't an "equal power" that has the ability to negate The Authority's power.

During the Attitude and Ruthless Aggression eras, you always had that one other person that had as much power as the "authority heel" that would keep them in check and keep things interesting. It was most often the "Commissioner" role that usually came into play for those type of scenarios and/or another "authoritative figure" that would side with the babyfaces (the babyface GMs during the time of the brand extensions OR a member of the McMahon family that started a fued with Vince whenever he becomes a heel/vice-versa).

In this current piss-poor WWE era, we don't have that. And with the brand extension completely dead, they should be able to re-integrate a WWE Commish plot-line in there somewhere.

I think Team Cena during last year's Survivor Series was kind of their answer to a stable almost as powerful as The Authority.
Or at least a group of faces that had enough balls to confront them head on.
And Ziggler taking out the remaining three and Sting showing up to K.O. Triple H would have been an awesome finale to the storyline, since Ziggler would be pretty much cemented as the heroic underdog and Sting coming to WWE is symbolic on it's own.

They could have built a whole new storyline around that, like Sting starting his own stable and Ziggler starting his own to counter it or something.
Instead we get The Authority coming back from vacation and stalling for either Royal Rumble or Wrestlemania to have Sting fully debut and have a real match against Triple H.
Which makes no sense since it still would have worked if The Authority never came back and Triple H shows up at any PPV event to challenge Sting.

Total Divas - Paige is fucking fantastic both in ring and out... my God. Instant love.

TNA - Awesome Kong returning was fucking awesome. Glad they snatched her up again. Kong vs. Havok is gonna be the Kharma vs. Beth Phoenix I wanted years ago.

So how's TNA been as of late?
I stopped following it for a while and never got back to it.
Is it worth going back to?
