My philosophy is that, certain actors/actress' get parts for a reason. If they sucked they wouldn't get the part. Am I wrong?

But I haven't seen anything else with her so, I can be wrong.

Yes you are actually, ideally what you said should be how the industry works but unfortunately that is not the case in the real world here. Certain actors get parts for a reason but not because they are right for the role sometimes. Sometimes its because they need a star attached, sometimes an actor not fit for the role at all pushes for it until he or she gets the part, sometimes its because the studio or director picks whatever random guy they want because they felt like it, sometimes a big name just jumps on the project because he feels like it. Lets bring up some examples of crappy casting for adaptations shall we?

so magneto flick is gonna be Schindler's List meets Revenge....i bet Captain America and Red Skull are gonna make an appearance along with Wolvie and Sabretooth fighting during WW2...

how about they send Legion into the movie and change the entire xmen myth into the age of apocalypse so that way we can forget about X3...

i want to see a xmen set in a mad max f-up gritty world...

Actually they described it as "The Pianist meets X-Men". Its quite the pretentious description considering it uses the typical action movie climax with Professor X and Magneto team up to fight some big baddie at the end (While it is awesome seeing Patrick Stewart and Sir Ian McKellen team up that is so not The Pianist). You should note that the X-Men films are Fox movies not Marvel studios. Iron Man and Incredible Hulk were Marvel studios movies which is why they are set in the same universe, Marvel wanted it that way. The X-Men films are a seperate franchise from Marvel even though they are based on Marvel comics. Unless Marvel gets the rights for their own comic back to do a movie of it, its pretty much guaranteed you wont see a non X-Men Marvel character in an X-Men movie.
