The Fast Food Thread

there's always going to some elitist asshole that comes in to shoot them down with claims like "authentic Chinese cuisine is muuuuuuuuuuch better"

Thanks Bolt. I'm sorry that I'm being an elitist asshole and encouraging people to try the fresher, healthier side of Chinese cuisine, which is probably just as affordable to make and eat at home rather than going out to Panda Express.

And it's not a claim that authentic is better...its an opinion.

I actually do prefer authentic food over the fast food, but still hit up the drive through once in a while. It's good that you prefer authentic.

Speaking of which, we really need to get rid of the local Hot n' Now and put a White Castle, DQ, or something.

Speaking of DQ, I find it TOTALLY weird that they serve TOAST with their chicken finger combo.

I don't know why.

I wouldn't find it weird if it were like...maybe a soft roll or something. But toast!?

Well... yeah, in this case that would be you. :P

Seriously, it's not just here, but any time any kind of "foreign" cuisine is brought up. If you say you like pad Thai, some jackass goes "authentic Thai cuisine is muuuuuuuuuuuuuch better than the crap you get a fusion restaurants," same with Mexican, and god forbid you talk about Japanese food. Just let people enjoy what they want.

Is it so wrong to want to eat 'better' and 'fresher' foods?

Fine. If it IS bad, then yes, call me a food elitist :P

I have never had a stuffed crust pizza....and I would like to try one. But Pizza Hut is so expensive, for pizza.
