Abaranger I would consider a lot more straight-faced than Carranger. Even when Abaranger is being silly or light-hearted, there's no sense of satire to what's going on.

Abaranger isn't making fun of anything, while Carranger makes fun of everything. To put it another way, a character like AbareKiller would be totally unthinkable in Carranger.

I also like how they didn't defeat the monster with GoseiGreat or using one of the land/sea combos, and then giving themselves a pat on the back saying "Phew, he was hard! Mission Accomplished!"

Instead, they defeated a dumbass monster..using a dumbass technique. That's pretty smart.

Plus, dare I freakin say it, the Shinkenger's would of borken a sweat against Epic 8's monster. I mean there's proof, the monster wasn't hard at all, but when it grew big it had a simple wall shield and the shinkenger's couldn't penetrate it...so guess what? "He's so strong! We can't defeat him with all the mecha we already have! New combo!" And there I believe Samurai Ha-Oh was born.

That's weird, I never thought Goseiger would really have a 1up on Shinkenger, not this soon at least.

You have a point, but they did introduce "new" mecha, as in the Exotic Headers, even if it was a one-off ugly thing.

I'm still kinda "what...?" about Epic 8. I wouldn't mind if we had more of these episodes coming in Goseiger in the future

I was getting into it like 2 years ago, and stopped at like 6 eps, because of some odd reason. I feel like re-atching it now, because of Lyn. lol

Yea, I get you water. Honestly I was caught by surprise with the amount sillyness in that Ep, but it wasn't bad either..because it truly was funny, and when they got serious..it wasn't. Which is good. Plus Eri, got ROCKED by buredoran. I can't lie I enjoyed it.

Carranger is probably my single favorite Super Sentai. I managed to watch a lot of it back when you had to get eps on VHS, and getting a whole series on VHS was a huge pain in the butt... :laugh:

If you like Super Sentai when it's being funny, I don't think any series has managed comedy as well as Carranger. The more recent seasons just aren't willing to be irreverent enough, the older seasons were busy... y'know, creating the genre.

Yeah there were lot of dumb things in that episode, but it was surprisingly entertaining for me, it didn't feel as boring as the past episodes. Weird coz I find Alata very convincing, and stories which center him are interesting for me.

And as always, Bureduran really brings the house down with those awesome fight-choreography... Really reminds me of playing Dynasty Warriors 6. :buttrock:

For me, Alata + Bureduran = an interesting episode.

At least Sentai doesn't pollute their fight scenes of Bureduran with CGI.

oh man and I thought Go-Onger was the ultimate comedy xD

I got this really menacing vibe from Bladerun actually... seems like he doesn't really like Derepta and he seems to lie to Mons Drake, like I think the Warstar in Epic 8 was actually summoned by him, I could be wrong but Bladerun is still evil, like pure evil lol

indeed, bladerun is definitely my favourite villain right now, although I wish he would get a rival. there's not many rivals in goseiger... :disappoin

^ Well, IMHO he doesn't need to, since his fightscenes with just him vs all of the Goseigers are really awesome, it's what you expect from Chinese-style spear-fighting, 1 vs many.

^ Mons Drake Sama. I don't know, he looks fat and old. Bureduran's fight will still probably be better due to all precise movement he does.
