I've never watched Carranger yet but is the whole series as whacky as that?? lol
And I watched Epic 8 with subs finally, and wow I must say I was right LOL EGG's appearance was a testament to Alata's personality.

Wackier. Carranger is to Super Sentai as The Tick is to American superheroes.
Epic 8 would've needed some sort of actual point to be on Carranger's level, but as surreal comedy goes it was pretty memorable.

From what little I've seen of Carranger, it doesn't seem as wacky as people make it out to be. Of course I'd probably have to watch an entire episode before judging fully, but it looked almost Kakuranger-esque. I'm more interested in seeing that than Go-"sell this junk to stupid kids"-ger at any rate. What the heck happened to Harorangers, they stopped at ep. 13.

As a Carranger enthusiast, I have to say you're dead wrong. Carranger is not just comedy, it is pure genre satire. Carranger is a wonderfully written show, possibly the most tightly-scripted Super Sentai I've yet seen.
Carranger is never mean-spirited in the way it flays the tropes of Super Sentai as they existed at the time, but they are still soundly flayed. Signalman does a number on Space Sheriff that's just astounding.
In Carranger, Signalman gives Red Racer a speeding ticket in his first appearance, then goes to stand in a police box like the real, unexciting sort of Japanese cop. The monsters grow enormous by eating sweet potato candy, but only the good kind from a real candy store. The aliens are invading Earth almost purely to impress a slutty barmaid.
It's glorious.
The Haroranger subs do not do the scripting in Carranger justice. If you ever have a chance to dig up the old VHS Ctenosaur subs, they do a much better job of reflecting the snappy, funny dialog. The Haroranger subs seem to totally miss gags like the aliens not being able to pronounce "chikyuu" correctly.
Kakuranger and Carranger is an interesting comparison, but Carranger has a core of solid satire driving its comedy that Kakuranger doesn't. When Kakuranger is weird or zany, it's never to any particular end, and it drops the comedy when it's time for action. Kakuranger also, on the whole, is cheaper and less creative with its comedy. Jokes in Kakuranger are jokes you'd see in any random anime made at the time. Jokes in Carranger are pretty much jokes you'd only see in Carranger.
In Carranger, almost everything save the big process stock footage moments is not only played for comedy, but usually to specifically parody things about tokusatsu tropes as they existed at the time. Everything from the characters to the situation is completely absurd and hilarious. As far as I know, Carranger never stops the satire, either.
Goseiger's Epic 8 verged on outright satire of how modern Super Sentai power-up episodes tend to go and how absurd the power-ups tend to be, but didn't quite make it. It got unfortunately straight-faced and standard toward the end of the battle, presenting Exotic Gosei Great as something actually cool. The way Carranger would've handled it, Exotic Gosei Great would've been treated as something flagrantly stupid (yet powerful) that only Alata could take seriously. The rest of the team would've remained totally embarrassed to have ever piloted it.

Then in a way, is Carranger similar to Abaranger? I almost finishing Abaranger (last 2 episodes) and aside from AbareKiller and the main villain, I thought everything else was really fun and light-hearted, especially that Crocro-phone monster... that was just out of the world man

Abaranger I would consider a lot more straight-faced than Carranger. Even when Abaranger is being silly or light-hearted, there's no sense of satire to what's going on.
Abaranger isn't making fun of anything, while Carranger makes fun of everything. To put it another way, a character like AbareKiller would be totally unthinkable in Carranger.
I liked that Epic 8 review. lol
I also like how they didn't defeat the monster with GoseiGreat or using one of the land/sea combos, and then giving themselves a pat on the back saying "Phew, he was hard! Mission Accomplished!"
Instead, they defeated a dumbass monster..using a dumbass technique. That's pretty smart.
Plus, dare I freakin say it, the Shinkenger's would of borken a sweat against Epic 8's monster. I mean there's proof, the monster wasn't hard at all, but when it grew big it had a simple wall shield and the shinkenger's couldn't penetrate it...so guess what? "He's so strong! We can't defeat him with all the mecha we already have! New combo!" And there I believe Samurai Ha-Oh was born.
That's weird, I never thought Goseiger would really have a 1up on Shinkenger, not this soon at least.
