Team Dragon Knight is Coming to the Power Morphicon!

lame! Calling some thing whining when people have reasonable arguements against it. What next you going to invite Transformer fandom? Seriously, why even call it a Power Ranger Comvention now. If you wanted a American Toku Convention then call it that. Thier invited fine, but please don't tell me it doesn't sound silly when it does. Especially, when a few people in here mention the people in charge of DK slamed the show this con was susposely for.

There have been reasonable arguments against it? Could you point those out for me? It has been proven there is a thing in common between DK and PR. It has been shown that the con will not lose anything from the PR side of things by having DK stuff. It has been shown that it will help the con grow. The only reason those against it have is that "It's ONLY about PR". You have a couple options. Start a petition boycotting the con. Go to the con and protest in person. Ignore then con. Or how about just accepting that it will be fun for all.

And just remember. If you do go and you are really against this. Make sure there is NO merchandise sold that isn't directly related to PR. Make sure no one cosplays as ANYTHING unless related to PR. And for heavens sake make sure some one tells the PR guests they are not allowed to speak about anything other than their time on PR.

It's too bad you're not actually paying attention...

I am. A show that has nothing to do with power rangers is being invited to it's con. What am I missing? Also to your point that star war fans are also star trek fans. Yes,sure they are,but I don't see Strek convention saying hello Star Trek crew and cast. Please come to are convention on a show that little do with the other. It just doesn't happen.

P.S. I don't hate DK or thier fans. I Just find it extremely silly that thier riding the coat tails of another show and thier agruement is well thier both toku...

I am getting so sick of this "riding coat-tails" garbage. They were INVITED. You do know that yes? The DK staff and actors were not like PLEASE OMG INVITE US OUR LIVES OUR OVER WE NEED TO BE AT A PR CON. You do understand this point yes?

The people that run Power Morphicon are PR fans. And yet they invited a show that shares a similar history to where PR came from. Man how dare they. How dare they make the con appeal to more people and have more things to see.

The only history they share is both footage came from Toei. That's it! Which brings me back to my first point. Why even call it a Power Ranger convention. If your going to just say well they are both Toku. If you want it to be all about Toku. Then name it that!

p.s. King thier no reason to scream to get your point across. Am I yelling,no. I am just respectfully disagreeing with you...

All media conventions end up inviting people who don't conform to the actual convention theme. Even business conventions sometimes do this, because it's... well, good business.

Generally convention organizers are far more interested in inviting guests who'll sell more tickets than sticking rigidly to a theme. Kamen Rider Dragon Knight has a strong following and the PMC organizers probably had good reason to think that inviting them would be good for ticket sales and the con's image.

If you don't like that, you have a problem with PMC's organizers first and foremost. The way people in the con business traditionally address this is by founding their own con or joining the staff of a competitor. Good luck, anybody who wants to get their own really, truly, PR-only con off the ground.
