To me all SICs look like they took the design and dipped it in acid to make it look drippy and then made them bulkier to crete the 'super imaginative' look :laugh:

Making it more buglike would be untrue to the character. Double isn't an insectoid design aside from the eyes. Much like Faiz, the goal is to give the body some extra details to emphasize those qualities since there isn't an obvious motive to take advantage of. Even the better resolution pictures are blurry, so we might not be able to see all the details.

Eh? I've said once that Double isn't insect-based, then we get people complaining that HE IS, now that I've accepted that he is, then people say HE ISN'T... :redface2:

Yes he isn't directly based from a grasshopper, but people have argued that the suit was designed to at least be reminiscent of a grasshopper even if it's motif is different. Which gives it enough right to have some "insect" theme going on IMHO.

That said, I'll be the first to admit this is a pretty lazy release though.

The behind the scenes article states that Double is *not* insect based.

-Some people wanted to make W bug-themed like Rider 1, but decided that they had already done a bug-themed rider back in 2006 with Kabuto (remember, it's still early in 2008 when they're talking about this), so they should go in a different direction. They decided to do a suit design without a clear motif, as they had only done that before with Faiz.

I figure if the official book says it, it's probably more so than fan opinion.

To draw away from the W discussion, anyone have a fix for the 'the first' Cyclone's tab which makes the bike stand up? Mine's loose to the point where it's impossible to display the bike. It's also too heavy for any of the stands I have. (Really wanted to display it soaring in the air initially)

I think I was one of those who believed that W was slightly grasshopper themed, but oh well. I didn't go that far to break into arguments whether he's a bug or not. Seriously, arguing over the design motifs?

I'll be pretty damn disappointed and annoyed if CycloneJoker W SIC doesn't come with a SIC-fied Machine Hardboiler, I don't really like Ken's custom of W, I don't like it's shoulder pads, not that I like the official SIC W's shoulder pads much either. I'll be interested in a close-up of the official W's face though. As for the chest plates, Ken's looks ugly to me. But I do agree that they should had tried to be more so called 'super imaginative' again though. Look how f'd up Kabuto is, he's pretty true to the original design beside the fact that he's now the Fatlord of Speed. But a more bug-like look for Kabuto won't look good, doesn't suit the idea of it Lord of Speed, need something more bio-robotic. I'm still wanting someone to split a Momo and Sword Form with me. :<

You make it sound like it was a futile attempt to say that Double wasn't grasshopper themed. :laugh: Can't find the posts though, but I'm sure people said he was.
