Huckebeins are originals but their tech base is very different from an 00 Gundam's. If you're using a Huckebein you need to consider the Black Hole technology and how much you want to mess with that (or not mess with that).

OP, I notice that people are using canon mecha and characters that appear to be original. When I saw this thread title my first thought was, "Oh, I wonder if I could play Kusuha here and put her in Ryujinki, like in alpha 2, with an upgrade to RyuKouOh coming when she connected to Bullet later on in the game."

I would use Kusuha's characterization from alpha 2 and alpha 3, which is slightly different (and awesomer) than her personality in the two OG games that were translated. This would also suggest some tinyplot threads that could be added to the games if you found them okay.

But basically, would that be okay? Would units with as much backstory as the Chinese Machines be allowed at all? Or would they be permitted only with characters I made up myself?

Basically, we're going for an..original Original Generation. The mecha and factions are roughly the same, but the political situation the PCs will experience is going to be fairly different. We're going for original characters, but you're welcome to make one similar to Alpha Kusuha's archetype..it's better than the "damsel in distress" role she gets in OG.

I'm afraid I've already got plans for Ryukooh/Koryuoh, but you're welcome to take any of the other Choukijin that you like. In particular, Jakuohki and Buohki aren't destroyed in this timeline.

Sure. A couple of problems with Fuuko Aihara, though. The Arblade is a mass production R-1, so it's unavailable at the beginning of the thread. If you'd choose a more common unit to start with, we can upgrade you to the Arblade later.

You'll also have to take Bellzelute before you can get it's upgade.

? -> Arblade -> Bellzelute -> Bellzelute Brigandi.
