I'd like to know Ohba's thoughts on what they did to his character. I imagine that would be very interesting to hear.

Call me an optimist but I'm still going to treat Super Hero Taisen Z as just a dumb fun action movie. Yes having Retsu out of character is horrible and they really should have done something else but come on its non canon movie for the all the franchises its not going to hurt anything.

Just repeat to yourself its just a dumb fun action movie. Its non canon so I should really just relax.

Also I need to get this off my chest. J was one of the best things about Go Busters but he still wasn't enough to save the show.

Megamax spoiled us on old characters being important.

I literally only treat these movies as fanservice. I'm seeing heroes I like side by side. Anything else is a bonus.

^Megamax spoiled us by letting Sakamoto handle the old characters more like. he did a far better job than the large scale team ups we've seen and I say that liking those.

Like the last one, I didn't put any high expections on it and was able to enjoy it. This time, it's the same thing. Except that they scaled down the Heroes. To where every year, you wonder who's going to be in it. Though the recent Riders & Sentai are the only exception.

At times, I'll admit that execution is not it's best or needs work. However I would rather have my expections challenged than met. While I might be optimistic, I don't know to judge something that I haven't seen yet.

Though I enjoyed the first one, it felt that they were throwing everything into it hoping that it would sort itself out. This time they may have an idea what they're doing, but it's still a trial & error thing.

Listen I know being angry at a movie isn't going to help solve anything but that doesn't mean you have to except it. Just call it a piece of **** and move on.
