Star Trek: Into Darkness - Pre-Discussion

I feel nothing from that trailer at all. I don't hate it -- it looks like a good sci-fi film I can enjoy, but not a Star Trek film. Guess it's another 2 years of gradual acceptance for me. :redface2:

I really hope Star Trek Into Darkness ends up being the 2nd installment in a TRILOGY of J.J. Abrams' Star Trek. Then we get a 3rd final one not too long after and then back to the REAL Star Trek universe established over all the years... and we get the real "Star Trek XI" with a new crew and ship.

Benedict Cumberbatch apparently isn't playing either Mitchell or Khan or Trelane or Alternate Picard or Q or (enter speculated character here), but is supposedly a new character named John Harrison: http://www.eonline.com/news/370941/...quel-s-new-villain-plus-more-big-screen-scoop

Then again, I guess they could be pulling the same thing the makers of Skyfall did with Eve. (Denying until the film's release who that character really was, although her identity had been rightly assumed from the start.)

What if Benedict Cumberbatch's character is a decoy antagonist and the real antagonist is a recasted Khan that has yet to be revealed.
Too bad it's so hard to keep secrets like that as of late, so its merely wishful thinking on my part :disappoin
