Just came back from it

Overall, I found it a bit underwhelming, but I think it'll tick a lot of boxes for casuals and Trekkies who don't take the **** half as seriously. I loved the 2009 Trek movie, but this one felt a little dry.

[hide] Section 31 are name-dropped, Pike dies, Robocop kicks the Enterprises' ass, The Klingons show up for eight minutes and we see their new looks for about a few seconds (the rest of the time they're wearing hoods), Carol Marcus plays damsel in distress, vintage Spock shows up to tell everyone how the **** with original Khan went down in his timeline....Scott manages to sneek around a seemingly unmanned war vessel and meets only one measly security guard, Kirk and Khan team up for a spacewalk which goes on too long, and a really naff twist on an iconic Trek moment from WOK before Khan crash lands Robocop's ship back on Earth. Sadly the ending is a bit of an ineffective dud withSpock and Uhura succesfully taking down Khan and everything wraps up neatly and tidily with a five year mission well underway[/hide]

I saw Star trek Into Darkness and I has to post how much I like it. I can't believe that the villain in the movie is Khan. He never gave his full name. I know old Spock gave the full name of Khan, but he never met the Khan of this movie. He could be wrong. I hope to see the Khan from Space Seed and The Wraith Of Khan in the next Star Trek movie. :disappoin

That would be pretty hard considering Ricardo Montalban is dead.

The guy who originally played Khan may be dead, but it doesn't mean the 'real' Khan couldn't be played by another actor in Star Trek 13, which might reveal that the Khan in Star Trek 12 is just a follower with the same first name. :thumbs:
