Spider-Man 4 in 3D?

Originally, Vulture and Sandman would have been cellmates who escaped together, and Vulture would pressure Sandman into committing crimes.

From the Art of Spider-man 3 book there's a design of them together.

Hmmm well you're right about that. But I know Shocker or Electro was amongst the early ideas for 3, Sandman must have came in later.

The DVD commentary confirms this as well, I believe.

God, this series is so damaged. I'm really rooting for a return to form with Spider-man 4, but i'm not going to give it the benefit of the doubt. Spider-man 3 has to be THE most disappointing film experience i've had.

I somewhat enjoyed SM3. It had good action scenes like both Peter vs Harry fights and the subway battle. But it was defiantly the weakest. Just entirely too many unnecessary scenes. Way too MJ who had more screentime that Flint Markko and Eddie Brock combined. The crying on the bridge was WAY too much for me.

Unlike some people I'm not gonna say Raimi sucks because of SM3. I find people who claim that full of it. He made SM1 and SM2, and among that many other great films and all of a sudden he sucks?

Chris Nolan might be next. He made two great Batman films, but if he makes a mediocre third film then fickle fans are gonna be whining and crying change.

If I found it for a good price, I *might* buy SP3 for the last scene. But I'd still have to get the "bells and whistles" version, because I love watching special features. I'm kind of a weirdo that way. :P

Doc Connors as Lizard would be awesome! But I don't think they could just do him...

I initially loved Spider-Man 1 and 2, but I ultimatley soured on them on subquesant viewings. I think Raimi never "got" the characters and the movies only succeded in spite of that because of great actors like DaFoe, Molina, and Francas.

I'd like to see a reboot and a fresh director.

I don't think Raimi is all to blame. In the end, he wasn't telling the story he wanted to. If the DVD commentary is any indication, it was a fiasco behind the scenes trying to get this movie made. Should Avi Arad refrain from shoe horning in characters and plots because fans love them, Spider-man 4 might have a fighting chance.

No. The reset button is being used all too often. And it's annoying.

It's not annoying. It wipes the slate clean of franchises that lose their way. In this instance, Raimi not having jack all input's a good thing, as the first two are overrated and the original ideas for the third looked like it was about to make the same mistakes D.C did with the three Batman films that followed Burton's first movie.

It promotes stupidity and laziness. "Well let's just turn this out, if it doesn't work out, hit the reset button and try it again next year." That is absolutely annoying. I know we haven't reached that point yet, but considering the number of rumored reboots I don't think it's too far off. If Raimi is the problem, you put in a new director. Batman had 8 years to take a breather before coming back in a 'rebooted' series.
