So what else are you a fanboy/fangirl for?

Something else that I enjoy is comedy be it sketch or stand-up. I can enjoy a clean act just as much as raunchy one. I can go from Brain Reegan to Chris Rock with no problem.

A lot of what else I geek out for stems from the same thing. I started looking at comics before I could actually read. I think the main reason I wanted to learn is because I just really wanted to know what Spider-Man was saying. My grandfather would go to the corner store every morning to get the paper and he would just pull a random issue off the spinner-rack. I doubt he thought he was doing anything special, it was probably just sort of "Matthew might like one of these." kind of thing.

My nick actually just comes from being 8 and drawing comics on notebook paper. I'd staple them together and write "Matt Comics" in the top left-hand corner like it was my own company and I was Stan Lee or something.

So..between that and getting to see Superman: The Movie in theaters when it came out I have had a love for superheroes ever since. But out of that spiraled a developing a love for artwork and cartoons, movies, sci-fi, fantasy, martial arts action and various other things of geekness.

Getting into anime was interesting because at the time that I saw my first one (Gatchaman dubbed as Battle of the Planets) it wasn't really well known that they were from Japan. You just kinda had this sense that there's something very different about these cartoons when compared to anything else at the time. So it was just cool to finally found out *why* it was different and to see more.

So in a nutshell a lot of what I'm interested kind of all spiraled out of being a little kid and thinking a person with powers in a costume who helped people and fought bad guys was just the damn coolest **** ever. ..and I guess I still do.

HUGE Green Lantern fan. I LOVE the Green Lantern series, and I think the reason is very similar to why I like Toku: The transformation. I love the idea of some guy with no powers who gains them by putting on a ring or a belt or something and gaining a suit.

Also, I'm a total Fanboy for Team Fortress 2. If you've never played it, its like 20 bucks in the orange box and that comes with Half-Life 2, Half-Life 2: Ep. 1, Half-Life 2: Ep. 2, and Portal. So its a total steal.

Spies all the way!

-Animation in General. Comics, cartoons, manga, and anime. I just love the imagination that went into some of the better works I've seen. I like both Marvel and DC, but I usually tend to lean a little more toward the Marvel side of things. My favorite manga writers are Go Nagai, Ken Ishikawa, Buronson, and Leiji Matsumoto.

-I'm also just a big action movie guy. If it has explosions and unmatched heroics, I'm there.

-Big fan of the Nightmare on Elm Street franchise, as well.

-I've been collecting Transformers for pretty much my entire life.

-I really like old school-style action/adventure video games. I need to play at least one pre-2006 Sonic game every week.

-ROOOOOOOOOCK!! :band:

-A bunch of other stuff I've probably missed.

I also used to be a huge Bionicle collector, huge, I had everything. and I collect some transformers as well

Pro Wrestling, European Heavy Metal, Horror Movies, Porn.

Probably Ghostwriter. My interest in the series was revived last year when I found all the episodes posted on YouTube. Then I geeked out last week when word of the June 8th release of the first season of the show on DVD got out.

I am a huge fan of inside jokes. They can be related to anything that my friends and I know about, and no one will get them...but they're hilarious to us, of course.
I also enjoy Catholicism, to a very high degree.

I've cut down on video games for a long time, but I'll always love Metroid. Hands down, my favorite series. I'm a big video-making buff too, which has a lot of roots in toku.

So yeah. It's a good life.

Bionicles. it's really sad to see it ending T_T

I'll still support Hero Factory...but...it just won't be the same...

comics and animation of all sorts, music (I LOVE the Gorillaz :buttrock, movies(espcialy ones staring Johnny Depp), Doctor Who, Torchwood, and trading cards.

Naitomea.

Just waiting for a new single...
