And a pretty nastly one at that. Antivirus System Pro or some jazz like that. It's gnarly, it disabled AVG and all my firewalls, keeps telling me I am being attacked. Not sure where it came from maybe RB, tis the site I was on when it started up. Currently have Malwarebytes Anti-Malware running on it, it's scanning but hasn't found anything...

So yeah, pretty eventful, I'm ready to smash it and start over with a new computer. :shakefist

Well before you go computer smashing if worse comes to worse you'd only need to replace the hard drive.

Go download avast the free version:

http://www.avast.com/

install it, set it up. Then let it run a boot scan. The antivirus program will run a scan before windows loads all the way.

I started using this the last time My computer got a bad virus. I've been using it for a year now and it has stopped every virus that has attacked my computer.

good Luck,

In some cases you can wipe the hard drive clean, and that includes the free empty space too. There are programs out there that can do this. But you will lose everything you have on the hd.

Yeah....it basically obliterates anything I try to install. Besides, Avast is only free for a limited time.

My computer caught that Security Tool virus a few months ago....twice. I had to re-format it twice since my computer is a slower computer and I couldn't install anything while the virus took over my computer. That was horrible. I still think a virus in my computer now since my computer runs pretty slow and freezes at times....
