Smallville - Final Season 10

Yea, I was going to buy it but $200+ is out of my budget right now. I will slowly buy the seasons as I go and probably just download the new special features somewhere

This thread has made me want to watch the show lol. I just bought the first season for $20 (it should be here Tuesday) and i'll use this thread to post my thoughts

$199 on Amazon for Americans was the last I heard for the DVD set.

The second and third seasons are a little iffy.

You definitely will look forward to Season 9. That's the best portrayed villain in the series that is not Lex.

R.I.P. Hawkman :(

But I say that officially passes the torch from him to Clark as leader of the Justice League.

As for Kara, so she returned in an episode this season with NO MENTION of her mission to find the Kandorians. I feel that was really the only character in this entire series the writers botched.

Chloe is back and Lois & Clark are now engaged.

That was a good way to go for Hawkman. I just don't like how Clark is all Monster Ball with Slade and Clark captured him just like that. If it was that easy, why didn't he do it before Hawkman died? :redface2:

I think the dialogue may have been cut or something. The episode runs on the implied knowledge that she was interrupted by Jor-El.

Clark took too long with the engagement.

But I am more interested in the fact that Alt. Lionel is in town and clone Lex cannot be killed. The final scene of this episode had Tess trying to inject young Lex (the gay kid from High School Musical) with a siringe and it bent. The look on her face was priceless.

With each episode I fall more and more in love with Lois. Her character has come full circle since joining with Clark.

Chloe & Oliver are MARRIED?....wtf..... I guess that's it for those two for the remainder of the season which is ok since now it needs to focus fully on Lois & Clark.

I'm expecting Lana to be in the final episode which is fair.

Yeah, I thought that Lex had a lot of potential, but it gets killed right after that. It makes some sense, but the change is too abrupt for me.

Lois definitely makes Clark look less like an idiot when they're an officially engaged couple for some reason. She's amazing.

Chole and Oliver getting married wasn't something I was expecting. I expected the first Jimmy Olsen a few season back, but not Oliver. That was some twist. They're married, but it doesn't mean that they can't return.

Star City and Metropolis apparently are close enough for a drive from each other and Smallville. Gotham apparently is the one city referenced which is somewhat far compared to the others.

I actually find the geography in Smallville to be a bit odd. Star City from the comics was supposed to be in Northern California, if memory serves, while Metropolis is supposed to be roughly New York-ish. Gotham I believe was supposed to be Chicago. And Smallville is, of course, in Kansas.

I gave up trying to figure out how everyone got everywhere so quickly pretty early on in the show.

At least they made reference to Gotham once which was good enough for me since I wasn't expecting anything Batman in this.

I always thought Gotham was on the East coast

The writers moved the cities to help with minor plots. Metropolis more accessible to Clark who is based in Smallville for a while and it becomes the reverse but they seem to be getting closer with progression.

Another baffling trope of Smallville is "DO THEY BOTHER TO PUT SECURITY LOCKS ON THEIR BUILDINGS?"

Houses for some reason aren't locked unless it's because someone is doing something bad in there.

I always wanted to be shown the entire interior of the Luthor mansion because people kept sneaking in there even though Lex had heavy security. All we see is the living room and the corridor which leads into it.

I always thought Gotham was on the East coast

Same here.

We saw Lana's rooms when she lived there, I think. But Lex seriously had the worst security money could buy.

-Booster Gold & Blue Beetle.... Brilliant.
-Clone Lex now as Superboy... Awesome but I see this turning out ugly.

and now it's time for the final 3 episodes.....and 5 months of my life gone lol.

Let's get this done.

Agreed. I'm going to chalk it up to Lex not giving a **** because once you break in you are pretty much dead. His security camera system was top notch though.
