Just finished the first 2 episodes of season 3, this show is getting intense, that has got to be one of the best premieres I have ever seen. I'm glad they finally decided to make a decision with Clark and Lana, I enjoyed their story but after 2 seasons it is just going to get boring. I still think this is a great show and Lex is still my favorite character.
However, my biggest complaint is that this show takes itself way to seriously. There is no humor, they writers don't even try to make some of these characters funny. I would like this show a lot more if I laughed occasionally

Wow, season 3 is a lot darker than the first 2 seasons. I didn't like the 50's flashback episode because I thought it was stupid to have Tom Welling and Kristin Kruek play their ancestors (seriously, just stupid).
I still have a problem with the lack of comedy. For a superhero/teen/high school/drama/coming-of-age story it lends itself perfectly for a couple laughs. Smallville needs to be like Supernatural (realizing that you can be both funny and serious)

Shattered was an average episode, but it has some serious repercussions. Lex going insane? and Lana telling Clark she needs to stay away from him. I just hope these problems don't get resolved next episode, I would like to see these problems get more time to develop. I honestly feel Smallville has poor writing, Supernatural (another show i'm watching) is so much more original and intelligent. I'm starting to regret starting this show, it just isn't very good.

Just finished season 3. More of the same **** to me. Overly dramatic scenes. Characters who are taken too seriously. Mediocre writing and no real repercussions (except for in the finale). Overall, just poor writing.
But I stuck with the show, gave the 4th season a chance, and watched the first 4 episodes. And this is what Smallville should be! Jokes! Characters having fun! And I love Lois Lane. Why has it taken 4 seasons for her to finally get here? Erica Durance is an incredible Lois Lane, she's smart, funny, charismatic, talented and friggin hot. Dean Winchester joined the show! Jensen is always awesome. I'm actually excited for this season (probably because Steven DeKnight is on the show, he was incredible on Buffy and Angel)
