Save Aquaman TV series!

Yeah, that "pre-crisis" story is what I was refering too, thanks laudre for the better explaination.

But since it's been mentioned, when is the Superboy series getting released on DVD, and the Supergirl movie too for that matter? Never got to see Superboy, but I loved Supergirl :anime:

Oh, and I do hope Aquaman does get picked up down the line later. They can't keep 7th Heaven going.

No it does'nt.

Read an Aquaman comic already, THAT makes the character look good, watch a JL Aquaman episode, THAT made the character look as well as he has been in the present comics, not this shite. Why should every interpretation have to involve beaches, bodies, and babes who can't act? Aquman can be interpreted as an intriguing character without that crap stereotype

The thing is, this kind of crap easily impresses O.C junkies and their teen crap, too bad none of them can see the flaws and just see high waves, strong bodies and babes, and bad fracking acting.

Hate to say it, but Skynight's right. This Mercy Reef bullshit didn't and would never have made Aquaman cool. Morrison's JLA made Aquaman cool.

Precisly, there calling this...thing "cool" and the essential equation to making Aquaman interesting. The public stigma the guy has had for years in spite of being wonderfully interpreted properly on JL a while ago (one of the best JL episodes during the early run) is ridiculous.

Now, I admit to watching Smallville, but that's only because I DON'T watch Dawson's Creek, it's because I DON'T watch The O.C, and it's because it's the only live-action Superman franchise on telivsion, heck noone I know who hates Lois and Clark admits to never watching it. Family, freinds, or forums otherwise. They watched it because it's Superman. One franchise in the teeny hour genre is enough as it is. It is NOT a solution to consistent quality, only a solution to a quick buck. Smallville only ever has consistent quality whenever they get access to a Williams score or a Donner scene. I mean, did you see how long it took for anything good to happen in season four? THE FINALE.

I think judging on the calibure of Sage and myself, we know a lot better because we inhabit comic forums and have been fans of the medium Aquaman thrives in. He is'nt the guy who talkes to fish in Superfreinds

Ummm....

O-P-I-N-I-O-N!!!!

:rolleyes2:

You don't like the idea for having a tv series, that's fine. That's your opinion.

Aquaman deserves to be on TV. That's my opinion.

Wow.. just wow.

It's my opinion, if you don't like it, you don't have to respond.

And typically, you can respond with nothing but that, why? Because finding constructive reasoning to back up supporting some tactless talentless surfer teen soap is below the standards of that genre's target audience. What exactly does it do to make Arthur "look cool?", big body? Shitty acting? That cliched beach front? The fact he makes less dives underwater in that footage than Seaquest DSV, shitty dated emo music blaring in the background? C'mon chum, strike a blow for all Smallville/teeny soap hero wuvvers everywhere and show me why this would be better than storylines written by Kurt Busiek or formats used in the JL series?

When these writers are patently insulted in favour of this, yeah, I have to respond.

I think I made that point to a Smallville fan a few months back....and they still refused to acknowledge Aquaman as anything but, "that lame superhero that talks to fish".

Now, I admit to watching Smallville, but that's only because I DON'T watch Dawson's Creek, it's because I DON'T watch The O.C, and it's because it's the only live-action Superman franchise on telivsion, heck noone I know who hates Lois and Clark admits to never watching it. Actually, I've never seen Smallville. And I wasn't able to until it came on ABC Family. That said, by that time I'd gotten the chance to hear about Mxy being an exchange student, which just raised the douchebag factor so high I could never sit through an episode. To me, no matter how popular Smallville becomes, it ain't the way that character is supposed to be done.

I think those who think that should be made to read Morrison's JLA run.
