I think there are definitely moments where Mako shows romantic interest in him (and I say this as someone who doesn't support the pairing.) If for no other reason than the fake wedding with him, and it would probably appeal to her silly romantic notions to marry the big important samurai lord :rolleyes2: Some of their interaction is rather flirty as well e.g. the end of episode 23 where she warns Takeru that Chiaki might surpass him, or episode 18 where they spar and she encourages him to accept Genta. She puts on this silly tone of voice and flutters her eyelashes, it really is ridiculous.

Kaoru is played by a 14-year-old! Just say no!

Now here's an interesting test. To my dismay, she didn't reply to my heartfelt request. I rarely if ever make paragraph long posts, so I'm a little dissapointed here. Though everybody should keep in mind there is a possibility that she actually complied, since she's only really been defending herself since then.

If she doesn't reply to this one, then there is a very high probability that she ignored me because I called her out on her particular biases regarding domestic violence.

So yeah, if you can see this lazycoconut it'll at least vindicate you a little bit. If you can't...well everybody else is now in on one awesome forum prank.

So yeah, depending on your innate character, I can either help you or hurt you.

Re. the Shinkenger scans - AFAIK the only scan we have is the one that's on the spoiler thread, does anyone know if the other page is somewhere else? Perhaps it doesn't show the female ShinkenRed and the other page is a picture of the mecha or something?

Er, all of what screen time? I think Takeru and Mako have interacted for any length of time, like... twice. I think Mako spent longer around Ryuunosuke in her first focus ep than she's spent around Takeru in the entire rest of the show.

She often pops up at random moments to chip in with something "wise" while he's talking, and there was the whole of episode 39 and the moment where they spar while she advises him to accept Genta. (I saw a shipper write a very long Livejournal post about how they thought the scene was full of sexual undertones. Ugh! But it was heavily flirty at the very least.) Then you get stuff like episode 12 where she rants on at Chiaki about how it must be so OMG HARD to be Takeru, so even in Takeru's absence the effect is still there ...
