Samurai Sentai Shinkenger rumor/picture thread

I guess no one got my "the cake is a lie" reference.

Anyways apparently this girl will play kaoru

I could see Takeru's role become more of a body guard/decoy because the real Lord is still too young to become ShinkenRed.

I got it LOL, from the game Portal which I loved sooo much, though it was only short, but it was one heck of a ride! :castlerock:

Anyway, I hate you Gold, you just spoiled everything for me... Now I can't look at Takeru the same way again... :redface2:

So the 'true lord' plan is the secret plan that Jii mentioned in epsiode 11... Interesting... I am relived that the writers finally address and develop this plot device...

Where in episode 11 did he mention that again?

And I didn't even think that Takeru KNEW he wasn't lord. The first thing that came to mind for me was that he was raised as and told he would be the lord, and then this chick comes along and goes "SURPRISE!! YOU'RE ACTUALLY NOT!" Why would Takeru sign onto this? Did his family force it upon him...maybe he doesn't really believe in the whole lord thing himself and that's why he hates the idea of everyone risking their lives for him, especially because he's not the real lord.

He's probably like a more serious version of Ryuu. Duty to his Lady above all.

Slightly before the eye-catch where Jii is musing by himself about Doukoku knowing of the sealing character and that now their lives depend on the secret plan before the sukima sensor rang...

Hmmm does this mean Takeru isn't a member of the Shiba bloodline afterall? Given how things usually work in families like that, I can't see them being siblings and getting passed over for the true lord title.

If Kaoru was Takeru's elder sister, then what we know of Kotoha's family inheritance means she is probably "entitled" to Shinken Red, but they both have the power.

It's also possible that Kaoru is the only Shiba by blood and Takeru was adopted so the family would have a male decoy to draw away the Gedoushuu's attention.

To this day it's not too uncommon for a more traditional Japanese family that only has female children to adopt a boy just so there's a male heir, or so I've read.

Unfourtunaly, The Kohota example also deals with two sisters with out a male sibling in sight. Which kinda doesn't mean much, given how families of any self-given importance tend to give that kind of stuff to a male heir if one is produced.

I know what you mean about the adopting a boy for a male heir thing though, and it's kinda what I'm leaning toward. He's only known as a Shiba by the Gedoushu simply due to the fact he's ShinkenRed. If he's an adoptee who possibaly can't use the sealing character, it would make sense on why he's a "lair" covering for a female lord and still be a "member" of the Shiba family.

Hahaha! Well, that would make sense, given that the real Shinkenred is a girl.

Or Takeru could simply just be an expendable bodyguard just like in most films involving decoys do. Man, this reminds me of C&C Red Alert 3 Soviet mission where you need to assassinate the Emperor of the Army of the Rising Sun in Mt. Fuji, which happens to be a decoy to my chagrin. :redface2:

Real-world Japanese inheritance rules, traditionally, can have women inheriting over men in certain sorts of situations. So I'm not sure that a magic inheritance would necessarily be skipping over a female. First-born status tends to be worth a lot, for either gender, in Japanese fiction.
