Candy toy Samurai Ha Oh and Mogyu Daioh


I am at a loss. What they did with Mogyu Daioh isn't surprising, but Samurai Ha Oh is almost a completely different robot. The guys who engineer these things are goddamn miracle workers.

Hmm, I kind of like candy toy Samurai Ha-Oh better...

I would suspect offhand that this was an early design for Ha-Oh. The candy toy may have gone into production based on this design before its appearance was later revised for the TV show and "real" toys.

This happens from time to time with American toy marketing, too.

I don't believe that to be the case. I think it was fully intentional. These guys have been improving the quality of these things for quite some time, now.

There's a possibility that's the actual Ha-Oh, just without the extra base in back. That's what it looks like to me, anyway.

No, it's the candy toy. They're entirely different. Here's the DX version.

The part about the design being revised after the toy was finished. I'm pretty sure that isn't the case, based on the direction these have been going. Also, they couldn't really do it just like the DX due to the size limitations. They couldn't make Ushi Origami nearly big enough to make that platform, so they improvised.

okay this might sound stupid, but what do they mean by candy toy? does the toy come with candy or something? if so what kind of candy is it
