Samurai Sentai Shinkenger rumor/picture thread

LOL, I don't hate it, I appreciate romance in the forum, even though its *cough* *cough*.

Ay there will be Zero, 0, nada, zippo, none, Guy on Guy tolerance in this forum or anywhere else. :nono::nono: For shame sashi.

Now Guy/Girl however....:169:

Gah, shipping on any level that isn't explicitly stated within the show bugs me to no end. And before anyone asks, no, I don't feel that TakeruXMako falls into that category.

I for one am also having a hard time seeing the TakeruXMako thing, I'm not sure if Mako is just wants to take care of Takeru because she is a caring person, or if she really likes him since she does live some clues like discussing that she wants to be a good wife with Takeru. At least MagishineXMagiblue did get married and BoukenredXBoukenpink did end up adventuring together after receiving a lot of teases from their comrades. In the case of TakeruXMako, it was a bit on the safe side.

So if I was in this situation, I'd want to make sure the two Reds were Strongest in different ways. Japanese folklore and pop culture has long allowed the idea that when it comes to spiritual power, women will pretty much always be stronger than men, whose tendencies toward violence are believed to leave them more spiritually corrupt. (This is why there's a 85% chance that the best magic-user in any given JRPG will be a woman.)
Ooooo I like this theory, it feels the most logical. In fact, I think it also explains why Genta is so talented in Mojikara, since his latest endeavors with Juzou have established his character to be virtuous, so I guess it makes sense that he gets the rawest power in Mojikara.

Embracing this trope opens the door for Kaoru to have bitchin' mojikara without actually being the best fighter. It's playing off very old gender-related ideas about spiritual purity so chances of it offended anyone, even little boys, is pretty low. If I had to write Kaoru but also make sure Takeru wasn't marginalized, it's certainly what I would do.

Sounds pretty fair to me, possibly one of the better theories out there, that she is going to be ill equipped to battle on field, but will do the sealing character when the shinkengers give her the chance.

On another note, Mojikara is supposed to be passed down from parent to child right? So how does Takeru use mojikara if FemRed is the true heir? Could he be in the lineage with Hiro? I didn't managed to download the subs for the episodes where Hiro appeared, so I'm not too sure about his heritage. So Takeru may be his uncle or something?

If i am not wrong, anyone can use Mojikara if you go through samurai training.I guess the type of Mojikara element you use depends on your linage...That's what i thought

If Genta can use mojikara masterfully without receiving any samurai training, then I guess Takeru might should also be able to. The element linked to your lineage is an interesting theory, but I'm not sure if it was ever mentioned or established.

Another theory, could be that Genta is somewhat of an idiot savant. Not too sure, but I think He explained that he created the electric mojikara through studying the Ika origami..... Hmm so maybe Takeru was indeed trained to use mojikara, but then why is he able to use fire?

I doubt they'll use that savant explanation to why Genta is strong when it comes to mojikara manipulation, since it is more likely he simply worked hard to fulfill his promise to Takeru which was shown on TV. And the savant explanation doesn't have the time to be explained further since the series is about to end, even though Genta does act crazy most times.

Saying it that way, you have to wonder how the very first Shinkenred acquired the mojikara focusing on fire. Its like the "Who came first? The Chicken or the Egg" question if you focus on a specific element being passed down through bloodline. If that was the explanation, then I guess they have to explain how the very first Shinkengers learned their respective mojikara element. Were they born that way then just banded together? Were they touched by Amaterasu or any Kami? Or are they semi-divine like how the Emperor of Japan is said to be? Get what I mean?

It could be simply a specialization which one can train to learn. It happens to be effective in battle if different elements are assigned per Shinkenger for different combination in attacks which they pass down by simply training their children whether they are mojikara savants or not. It might be the case that Takeru's ancestor of decoys were also trained with the fire mojikara at the same time with the real line of Shinkenreds. He could also be a distant relative if you want to stick with the bloodline theory, but I doubt it since most families of nobility in Japan won't risk a relative's life by making that person into their decoy. More often, decoys are not related but are the extremely loyal servants of their Lord which is a better angle for the samurai theme.

The impression I get of how mojikara works in the show is that you can cultivate whatever spiritual power you have, but everyone has a certain baseline level that can only be cultivated so much.

So Genta's ludicrous skillz come off, to me, like a combination of natural talent + years of hard work. If he exceeds the other Shinkengers, it's because they've been expected to cultivate a much wider range of skills.

I imagine the True Shinken Red has similar ludicrous mojikara skills-- there's no other reason why only True Red can write the seal.
