Samurai Sentai Shinkenger rumor/picture thread

I think Takeru will feel ashamed of "lying" to the other Shinkengers, who he grew to regard as friends despite himself. He'll feel unworthy of their company after Kaoru comes back, who I'm sure he'll regard as just intrinsically a better person than he is.

Takeru let the other Shinkengers believe for nearly a year that he was someone he wasn't and let them treat him like he was some sort of superior. They were willing to die for him and deep down he probably thinks they're all better, more worthwhile people than he is. I think this will leave Takeru, really, furious at himself.

So I'd bet Takeru is going to try to throw his life away fighting Juuzou and I bet his friends and the True Lord will do something to prevent him from up and getting himself killed. That's the logical way to get him back into the fold and it emphasizes the "teamwork is awesome!" recurring theme of Super Sentai.

Yep spot on :) i just hope Jii is ok :(

You know, Jii is the one dude in Shinkenger I just never worry about. He's got his priorities straight, mostly, so I'm inclined to think he'll be alright.

I did worry about him during the Decade crossover, though. :(

Not talking about anyone in particular, really. Just imagining what my reaction would be if I really, really liked Takeru. I would not be inclined to think warmly of Kaoru, though I would probably give the show a chance to let the plot play out rather than just abandoning the series.

Those people are selfish pricks who are not familiar with bushido and the way of the samurai.

I wouldn't worry about Kaoru treating Takeru poorly. In jidaigeki stuff, treating your subordinates poorly is usually a sign that you're a crappy person. I would be really surprised if Shinkenger didn't want us to find Kaoru basically admirable, since if she's a good person, the situation is much more tragic (and it's much easier to get Takeru back in time for the finale).

Yeah, samurai are expected to lay their life for their Lord, follow him/her until death, and the Lord is expected to treat his samurai and retainers properly and to provide their needs, to keep them loyal and honorable. Else they'll just turn to a ronin.

Oh, I wouldn't necessarily say so. Maybe they just really like Takeru-- maybe he's the main reason they watch the show. So suddenly he's going through horrible emotional turmoil, the "cause" of which appears to be some new character you've never heard of and maybe never thought could exist. That's a recipe for an unhappy viewer, at least speaking emotionally.

But they fail to see that it was meant to be like that in order for all the viewers to emote with Takeru. Without this event, then the story will just be the usual regular stuff. Drama and controversy is needed to make a show interesting, without it, it will just be predictable, and that, sucks.

Going back to my point, if they really like Takeru, then they are supposed to understand that Takeru is a samurai who must follow his duty to serve his Lord, if they wanted otherwise, then they have no idea how important fulfilling Takeru's duty to him is.

People's emotions aren't "supposed" to be anything. They just are. Even if a story makes sense, nobody is obligated to like it on any level.

No matter how illogical a preference is, you can be sure that someone, somewhere feels that way. So someone who really wanted to watch the show about Takeru as Lord has good reason to feel cheated now.

Yeah, it's short-sighted not to give the story Toei is telling a chance, but for some people that's not just the story they want. There's nothing anyone can do to make them want it, either.

As the saying goes; "You can't please everybody".

Even though there is nothing that can be done about them not liking the show, they just have to see that everything that has happened is inline with the theme of the series which is "the samurai way", which brings me to my conclusion that these people are not fully aware that all of the events are faithful to the show's motif and that they need to do more research before judging something that they don't even understand.

Just my 2 cents.

well I just like to put this out there:
If when that episode comes out and a women is shinkenger red...than I think the series gonna last a bit longer...cuz more problem would come up and they just wanna prolong it from being end because maybe the series of 2010 isn't ready for production at all yet...so many possibility of what could happen when she show up...so many question also....guess we gotta just wait and see..
