[Anime] Saint Seiya Omega - Talk Up!

What's funny is that Omega had quite a bit of hype from American fans when the show began, due to Umakoshi's involvement. Once it became clear that the show's budget was abysmal, and therefore the animation would be pretty miserable outside of the stock footage clips, they began to tune out.

Remember, we only ever officially got the show in a confusingly butchered form on Cartoon Network that only lasted a few weeks

The DiC dubs >8(

There is a special place in hell for the people involve in that abomination.

Despite ratings, Omega's last couple of episodes have been really good, with the latest one (ep20) having the best battle scene in the anime so far.

That is usually the case with Omega. The eps near 10 or 20 has the gorgeous animation, fights and actual plot. The stuff in between is just mostly filler. It's clear that Toei gave them very little money and that they can't even afford the entire main voice cast.

Four former Bronze Saints down, 1 to go.

I try, but I can't take the next episode seriously... Saints vs. Ninjas... :redface2:

On a positive note, they announced that the "vs. Gold Saints" saga is coming :castlerock:

A new opening for Omega has been announced, titled NewΩMyth (Next Generation) by a group called √5.

The song will start on episode 28.

I'm sorry but, considering the same thing's happening to Go-busters, I couldn't help but laugh a little. Also, I will say that I've never even heard of that band before. Are they new to this type of thing?

It's weird for Gobusters because Super Sentai don't normally get two opening songs. But Omega is an anime, so this is usual procedure.

Though I've never heard of those guys either.

I really need to sit down and watch this...and Fate/Zero 2nd season...and Madoka...maybe even Nanoha, maybe. Not to mention the rest of Fourze and Gokaiger, but I regress.

I will confess I watched the Knights of the Zodiac dubs and part of me remembers them fondly, though that may just be denial. Still, the fact that it is by the same guys who did Casshern and the concept in its original form are both pretty kick ass, I really think this series will be fun.

On a plus side, during the U.S. run of butchered saint seiya I managed to get almost all the 5 inch figures with cloths included. I only missed the Monoceros Saint...oh well.

True though, the main reason I was amused was because they were both happening at episode 28. Coincidences like that aren't common, I don't think.

Casshern (in Sins) doesn't just look like Seiya, but they are voiced by the same person, Toru Furuya (who also voices AkaRed).
