Oh god the dub was horrible. All of the cuts they made. Editing and not showing episodes. Check this site out http://www.smuncensored.com/. It tells all of the cuts made in the dub. They don't have Sailor Moon R though.

Everyone has a right to his or her own opinion. While I'm sure that the unedited version of Sailor Moon is better than the dub... Keep in mind that America's not as lenient as Japan when it comes to animes...

I always thought the English dub had its charm personally and I was always a big fan of the first English voice for Sailor Mercury and the original English voice for Sailor Jupiter.

As for my favorite Sailor Senshi, I'm a huge Sailor Mercury and Sailor Jupiter fan myself... :anime:

Meanwhile, I'm hoping to get started again soon on my Sailor Moon/Avatar Knights Zegara [My very own superhero team]/Phantasy Star crossover series "When an Esper Loves a Senshi".

I haven't seen the dub in years. But from what I remember it was ok. I like the original too. What I always wondered was is Chibiusa considered an outer senshi?

I felt Stars was lacking. It starts off on a serious note, and then goes back to goofiness, and then Chaos Galaxia was about like beating Queen Beryl. It just felt lacking a bit. :\

Personally, I think the best seasons of the anime are the first season, R, and S.

IMHO, the best season of Sailor Moon was S.

Why? It had interesting baddies, and it introduced Sailor Saturn. :thumbs:

And it also introduced the Outer Senshi... Who are basically the 'Sixth Heroes' of the Sailor Moon Universe.

I LOVED Sailor Moon, both original and the dub. The music was awesome as well. I really appreciated the dub because it introduced me to anime as well as other aspects of Japanese culture. Ironically, the first episode of Sailor Moon I saw was 'A Crystal Clear Destiny'. I got hooked afterwards! I didn't like how the show came on 5:30am here.

Jupiter's English voice actress never changed, Venus' did however. I think her first voice actress suit her better.

You know the license for the Sailor Moon anime has expired. So if anyone would like to fansub the series they are more than welcome to try. It might cost a bit though.

Why would you want to fansub the series, if it has already been officially subbed?

In the thread about the death of Kanbe Miyuki and while I was sad, I also got to thinking about some things. I began to think of who they would use if they reanimated Sailor Moon.

I considered Mika Kikuchi for Usagi/Serina's voice. I think it'd be a good match for the "not quite dumb" but really ditsy Usagi
