Over on another board, I heard someone actually speak up against the Jena 6 and how "it wasn't that bad" or how "my daddy says black people think we owe them something."

That is some sad stuff. Unfortunatly, my dad can be just as bad about. If you want to read about some truly ugly rasicm, I recommend 'Black Like Me'. It's a good story, and I highly recommend it.

My grandfather is your typical WW2-era pseudo-racists, in a hilarious way instead of an offensive one. A couple family gatherings ago, my aunt said something about "asking an African American man to please move" so she could squeeze through at some store, and he jumped in with "when I was growing up, we'd just say 'outta the way nigger!'" It brought an awkward silence crashing down on my politically-correct mostly conservative family. It was hysterical. :laugh:

Plus he still calls all Asian people "Orientals" and Germans "Nazis" which is just awesome.

I'm probably gonna catch some heat about this but....

I find it funny that we black folk hate being called the N-word...yet some people in our race ACT like the N-Word.

Well....I think Dr. King can explain it better than I can.
