Question: Xbox 360 & DL DVDs

I know Xbox 360 will play DVDs, but does anyone know for sure if it will play DVD+R DL DVDs? The reason I ask is because I'm backing up all of my movies and TV shows on DVD and am wanting to back them up on DL DVDs. The TV shows are many episodes on each disc, and using DL would be the best, but my regular DVD player does not support DL DVDs, so I was wondering if anyone knew if the Xbox 360 supported them?

If questions like this can't be asked, forgive me and do away with this thread.

If the question is, can it play burned DVD's... the answer is, yes. Then again, I've only used my HD DVD player to do it, so I'm not sure about the console itself.

I'd assume so.

yup it can play dvd's I use mine to play dvd's and wmvs lol
backed up ones that is, also my 360 has been able to play HK dvds too which I was quite surprised at O.o shocked that I can watch goodbye mr cool using my xbox

ReD-X, were your burnt DVDs regular DVD-/+Rs or were they DL DVDs? I'm wanting to back all my TV sets up on DL so I don't lose quality. With the price of DL DVDs I'm trying to find out for sure before I spend $40 on a pack of 20, LOL.

Thanks guys for your replies!

I use Verbatim DVDR+R DL's for all my game burns and DL movie burns. They all work fine and dandy :D ...I'd stick with Verbatim honestly. Proven  ..You may just try single burn first though instead of investing 40 buxxx outright.

Yeah, Verbatim was the brand I will be getting if any. Is there a way to buy just 1 of the DL DVDs though? I've looked online and find sites selling the 20 and 40 packs. And none of the stores in my area even carry Verbatim media, which is strange since everyone seems to love them.
