PS3 & Xbox 360: Flat or Sideways?

When playing your PS3 or Xbox 360, do you always have it placed flat or sideways when laying on something?

Sideways. Gives more room.

Horizontal. It looks and nice and apparently keeps the PS3 cool.

flat most of the time (for my ps2 though). cuz i have neither of those two.
