Power Rangers DOES have a Doctor Who-like mythology

King, you disappoint me. You've failed to realized that Doctor Who is a children's show.

Doctor Who is labeled as a Science fiction family show, but most of its majority demographics are children.

Which I find funny about PR, because its a children show, but it seems its major audience is adults.

Yes. You're right.

Um..about its major audience...I've never seen so many adults tuned in to watch PR, despite that it's a children show. Is that the very reason why PRSamurai's doing very well on tv ratings so far?

Well, most of those adults were children when MMPR aired and started the phenomenon.

I speak for myself, but I'm sure this applies to a majority of adult fans, but I remain an avid viewer of PR because of the nostalgic value as well as probably being the defining franchise of my childhood.

To be honest that is why Power Rangers has survived for so long, is that 20 year + audience who grew up with them are still watching them. I mean lets be honest, a lot of people on here and on other forums complain about the disney era PR. Disney Era PR failed because it was getting beat up by shows like Spongebob and what ever cartoon was out there. The original fanbase dropped, either because saban left or because the had complaints about writing or what ever BS. Now that saban is back, that fanbase that was originally lost, was brought back, maybe not in its entirity but enough to revive the series with good ratings.

I mean, I remember during the disney era Pr, PR toys were on the selves, and there was a lot of them. When Saban came back, I saw the toys gone in a about a day.

Honestly, all the Power Ranger toys after Lost Galaxy are disappointing for me. They lack the same charm and shear awesomeness as those prior.

Let's compare the original Megazord to the 2010 "Remastered" Megazord, the original kicks its ass eight times over.

For me the toys sucked after wildforce. Then when they release the remastered stuff I was disappointed. I mean look at the dragon dagger remastered version, what a piece of crap that was.

I completely agree that Disney Era has failed.

Don't forget that with Saban's back, most of DVD's are all gone. :eyebrow:

To me , it kinda sucks. I used to love being able to go into a store and just snap some megazords and other merchandise up without competition. Hell, I don't care . As long as the show gets right back up so we can get more of the action , I like it . Maybe Saban will put a boot up Bandai's ass and demand Pre-Disney quality out of their products. Maybe they can release the Shinken-Oh in its full glory as a fan-geared version of the toy in limited quantities much like that Voltron Masterpiece. That way , they can get away with the higher price range and keep the quality high.

However, why don't they instead just start a toy-line geared towards fans of the original series with megazords that are SOC'd/SIC. For starters mix the 1st Megazord with highlights of the Zyu2 Design . Subsequent ones could be done in the same style or just keep it show-accurate/ articulate like the SOCs.

So are there any plans for MMPR DVDs?

Yeah, it is a children's show. Kinda funny that foreigners didn't know this. That said, it does have more adult content in it to keep the parents happy. My parents watch it because they used to since it began and the show's not exactly dumbed down and doesn't treat the viewers like idiots. (Well, RTD's era had a habit of this).

DW's timeline is fucked up completely. Time can change; which is kinda how they get around things like a giant Cyberman in London was forgotten.

Wibbly Wobbly Timey Wimey...Stuff.
