Bio: Born in Monterrey, Mexico, Perla had heard and seen the footage of K-Day when she was a kid, though her outlook on it wasn't as dire as some people, since she was sure that being away from the Pacific coast would keep her safe. Plus, she was busy learning the family trade, which was to be a future act in the circus that her family had been a part of for generations. She had eventually decided to mainly focus on juggling, equilibristics, and at least one aerial act in the Spanish web. Perla also took to dye her hair green at this point, to stand out a bit more and, as she saw it, to poke fun at Kaiju Blue (though there were people that took offense to this, for obvious reasons).
As time went on and Perla performed across Mexico and the United States, she started to see more and more firsthand accounts of the destruction the Kaiju were doing, especially to shows they did near the Pacific coast as part of benefits towards either rebuilding towns or relocating people affected by the Kaiju attacks. Even so, Perla tried to stay in her self centered world. That is, until she saw a Kaiju attack for herself. It was when she and her family were performing at Rosarito Beach when the Category 3 Kaiju, Blanco, made its way toward that very city. The evacuation was not going very well (for numerous reasons, one being due to tourists) and Blanco almost made landfall when Mexico's very own Mark-3, Matador Fury, arrived. Perla saw the Jaeger avert what could have been a huge disaster, one she could have lost her life in.
Seeing this firsthand changed her outlook on the whole situation, to the point that she wanted to do more than entertain those affected by these monsters. She wanted to fight them, as Matador Fury had valiantly done. To say that the process from going to circus performer to ranger cadet was hard would have been an understatement, but much as her surname implies, Perla was stubborn in her desire to be a Ranger, eventually earning the credentials to be one. There is just one problem, however. She had wanted to be part of the Shatterdome that housed Matador Fury, but she found herself transferred to the LA Shatterdome instead, which has made her rather annoyed. She should get over it soon. Hopefully.
Perla is a rather outgoing and talkative individual, as one would expect from her circus background, which still colors her being. Perla is doing better in not being so self centered, but it still seeps through from time to time. She still dyes her hair green out of a sense of nostalgia and has been known to wear her circus attire, though never when it is time to sortie of course. She doesn't really have anything to hide when it comes to the Drift, which makes her seem almost eager to perform the process. This stems from the fact that she wants to be in the best possible state to fight the Kaiju, though this means she sometimes doesn't take into account her fellow Ranger's eccentricities.

Bio: The day that the Kaiju crawled up to rain hell upon the earth changed everything. Kaiju Blue... the blood these monsters bled was so toxic nothing could survive. Rachael watched with a mix of horror and awe as the first Jaeger felled one of the beasts. Her brother and father served in the army that had been trying to hold the creature back while the newborn Jaeger was heading towards them to fight. Having been evacuated, Rachael could only see what was happening on the news, as spotty as that was with the chaos. Finally Rachael and her mother roared a cheer as the Kaiju staggered in pain having lost an arm, screaming in its alien tongue. The battle was soon over, but Rachael had a dark feeling that clouded her mind. Her mother was talking but to Rachael it sounded like butterflies passing by.
Finally the young woman returned to reality. Her mother was death-gripping the phone and sobbing into the table, the dial tone announcing that the caller had hung up. Glancing slowly into her daughters eyes, Rachael knew that her father and brother were dead...
Fast forward several years and Rachael had joined the Ranger Academy. K-Day as it became known shaped the world in untold ways. Jumping into the training, Rachael silently flew toward the top. Many that met her felt the woman didn't know the meaning of 'fun' and they'd be right. Anytime not in class, eating or sleeping was spent training with all the weapons the LA Shatterdome had to offer. Rachael's training and near constant silence gained her a reputation as “The Killer Mute.” Though having seemingly infinite patience, Rachael actually had a hair trigger temper that threatened to go off without warning. It was only in these moments that Rachael would speak more than a word or two at time.
Her ability in the Drift was amazing, though she tended to block out her partner. Able to read them like a book and leaving them blind in return. Her constant training allow her control her half of the Jaeger with ease but the partner was not so fortunate. Called to active duty due to the rise in Kaiju attacks, Rachael silently waits to meet her soon-to-be partner.
Though only Major Sharp would see this next bit of her file.
Death of father and older brother caused deep seeded hatred of Kaiju Blue. Mother died soon after and Rachael mentally shut down becoming mute. Always carries a locket given by brother before death. Only in Drift does true ability come to forefront, though at a possible risk to co-pilot...

Bio: Being the third child on a highly influential and extremely wealthy British family, Arthur's life would have probably been fairly easy and satisfying had it not been for the K-Day. Though the drama could have been traced back about two years before the first Kaijuu emerged when Arthur's oldest brother Philip graduated from his university and announced his parents of his plans to join the Royal Air Force for a whole tour before joining his father in the family company. As fate would have it, on August 10th, 2013 Philip was in the American west coast participating on joint drill between the American and British Air Force. When the first kaijuu made land in San Francisco, Philip volunteered and was part of the first wave to engage the monster. The report that the Walker family received regarding the events of K-Day splendidly describe how Philip's and the other fighters efforts, while not defeating it, had managed to slow down the kaijuu a bit and that thanks to them thousands, if not millions, of people had a bit more time to evacuate, and that their heroic deaths had not being in vain. Arthur had grown up looking up to this brother, and now to find him suddenly gone had left the young boy completely lost and afraid. As the months went by and more kaijuu started to emerge, Arthur's fear was replaced by anger, and a new purpose started to become clear to the redhead. Once the Jagger program was announced, Arthur immediately expressed to his father his desire to join and requested him to allowing to finish school early to so. The heated argument that unfold between Arthur and his father was so loud and strong that it echoed throughout the entire mansion. Being on the other side of the world from the breach and having enough money to buy a Kaijuu Bunker big enough to encompass their entire state, Mr. Walker saw now reason why he should lose another son to the war humanity was waging against the gargantuan monsters. The two argued for hours until Arthur realized that he was not going to get anywhere and let the matter drop. However, the day after his graduation, while his parents were finish Arthur travel arrangement to Cambridge University, the redhead left home. The young man used the cash he had managed to save over the years and purchased a plane ticket to Australia, and by the next day he had already joined its Jagger Pilot academy.
It didn't take long for Arthur to start to excel in the academy. Despite having led a live of luxury until then, the redhead had never once slacked on his studies or his physical training, his parents had been obsessed with perfection and they had never let any of their children forget it. Passing cut after cut as the top of the class, Arthur soon made a name for himself as a very promising future pilot. Several time both the academy board and the heads of the Jagger program themselves approached Arthur and offered him the chance of becoming the face the the pilot training program, but the redhead continuously refused, not wanting his parents to find out where he was until they read of his first kaijuu kill in a Jagger. Unfortunately, as the end of Arthur's training approached, a very serious problem became apparent. Despite having excellent physical and mental test results, Arthur's comparability test were some of the lowest the academy had scene. Apparently, the particular combination of Arthur's serious and unyielding personality, along with his deep seethed hatred for the kaijuu prevented the academy from finding a suitable Drift partner for him. So, on the day of his graduation, instead of being assigned to a Jagger, Arthur was delegated to LOCCENT until a compatible partner could be found. Arthur spent the next couple of years moving from Shatterdome to Shatterdome, working on Mission Control and helping with the Jagger maintenance as he search for someone that was Drift compatible with him.
