Movie Wars Core's Director's Cut is coming September 21. I don't think there's any information about the extra scenes yet though.

Nobunaga's Desire clearly needs the most help, maybe we will see Giru since chances are he would have appeared on the series by then, but I wouldn't mind the fight against Core to actually be expanded upon since it was extremely underwhelming.

I have no complains about Skull's bit, but if they must add something then have a brief cameo of Chibi!Terui or another shot of "Sho-chan" in which he asks Sokichi to let him become his student :laugh:

ah that might make for a light hearted moment with kid Shotarou asking Soukichi to take him in! I don't know really, Inoue's writing style and methods, I don't think even giving Nobunaga's Desire one extra hour would do much help, even though we know the story has potential. Core was underwhelming no doubt. I don't really fancy those giant vs little men fights anyways when it comes to life action, things get limited and hard to pull off, I just get uninterested. Especially if you're someone who had played games like God Of War where you get to deal with some big sized monsters and stuff. Wonder what about X and Dark King, hm.

I think more of Nobunaga would be good enough ~ and to wrap up the mysterious scene that was shown at the end of A-Z ...... is Maria really Shroud and so forth ...... hope that gets wrapped up somehow or gets further developed down the road.

Oh and for OOO to use the ShauTa combo, cuz he clearly had 1 of each medal, and the only reason they didn't let him use the water combo is because it hasn't debuted it on the show back then when the movie was airing =/

My personal observation is that Kobayashi is fucking uncomfortable whenever her shows crossover with something else.Take a look at Climax Deka and Onigashima Warship, for example -- both written by her, but the other title Riders only had very minor roles and in either case, the movie woulda mostly worked even without these special guests just fine. And even what was in didn't seem consistent with the canon of the show, at least in Decade's case.

I'd say it comes down to the fact these crossover movies are done so early in the series they've barely got the basics pinned down. That's why in Climax Deka all Wataru was doing was running around with what's her face and in Onigashima Warship Tsukasa has short hair, plus the blast finisher we never see again.

The medal count in that movie is completely broken. Eiji is shown to have water medals according to the count in the end, but he isn't carrying them in the medal holder according to early scenes. That count also can't be including Ankh because then there should have been two Taka medals.

Warship Tsukasa has short hair, plus the blast finisher we never see again.

Huh? Decade had three finishers, blast, sword and kick. Skyrider in Movie Wars 2010 is killed by a blast attack.

Also, I really don't think the Den-O movies are good examples. They barely featured the other Rider, it's not the same as Movie Wars Core attempting a bunch of random things with OOO. The problem there either came from OOO's side of the production not caring about continuity or OOO's side attempting to make something that would reflect a later stage of the show and failing.

Double's story in Movie Wars 2010 didn't suffer from similar problems. The only odd detail is Wakana's status compared to her in the tie in episodes of the tv show.
