New naruto game... a dissapointement?

I received the new naruto game in my mailbox today.
I loved Narutimate Storm on the PS3... and was REALLY looking forward to this game...

But... to me it was a big disappointment.
Not able to roam free, jump on the roofs...
In stead of breaking jars... you investigate stuff...

I felt like I was playing FF9... I had to restore health after every battle...
It' just an RPG.. You have to talk for a long time to get to a battle...

Or even worse you have to build friendships with other characters...

I really liked the first game... I was hoping they'd keep the same system.. But if they really wanted to change it... I really would have preferred that they made this game just a normal fighter then an RPG....

Am I the only one who feels like this about this game or...?

My sister got this game too because all of our PS2 Naruto games are in Japanese so why not give it a go and so far so good, it's not bad for us. Pre-ordering Narutimate Storm 2 soon. :anime:

you are not the first one to feel like this, i'm sure other people do, but unlike me, i love this game, my only complain is that 1 our of 10 games online have lag.

but you play this game for the story mode? a fighting game for story mode? so you also watch porn for the acting...I'm sure.

free roaming sucks, and that should stay on GTA.

I like fighting with em friends...
But solo, you need to unlock things... If you have to go trough hours of talking no fighting... or investigating things or catch stupid birds... that is too much...

not really...you unlock things on free battle mode, you know those ST points? every so and so amount of points let's you unlock things, and when do you catch birds in the game? and since when are birds stupid? aren't they neutral, how do you know their intelligence level? all you need to do to unlock things on story mode is follow the story, not getting "stupid" birds as you call them. and you can smash X to skip through talking, and start and skip on cut scenes. btw, this is not dragonball where they talk for 2 seconds, fight, 2 more seconds, more fighting, at least this has a story.

but yeah, this game is fun with friends, and better online.
