New Mortal Kombat Remake?

The cut scenes in the new mortal kombat game are the greatest mortal kombat film when you put them together.

Not being a fan of the games, I can't speak for the fidelity of the web series to the original mythology, but I did find it reasonably enjoyable. And truly, if someone's inexpensive webseries got him a feature film, then it's a shining beacon of hope for wannabe filmmakers the world over. Anyway, sure hope he brings Larnell Stovall back for the fight choreography, because that was pretty much the coolest part. Could be fun.

Exactly. If he could make it , who's to say no one with the right work ethic and vision can't do their own interpretations , their own takes of their favorite franchises and be allowed to roll with it and get popular.

I have seen the many takes people have done with Transformers & Marvel characters and believe that if an innovational take of a franchise would be nifty/great execution and be profitable at the same time, it's a success.

For some reason , I can just see Power Ranger fans hating my version of the first series or absolutely growing to love it just because it is so out there . Same goes with Spiderman fans and Batman/Robin fans.

The first MK movie was great. It followed the games story, had OK effects for the time, and the fights were fun to watch.

I thought it was alright. 100% better than the sequel.

I still get goosebumps at the scene where Lui Kang and Shang Tsung begin to fight and the MK theme begins playing.

Though I feel the fight needed to be extended so we could have heard the song a lot longer then what we got.

Come on, MK Extended Cut, Bluray! >.>
<.<

I can hope! XP

Inexpensive? Wannabe filmmakers? I think somehow you got confused and misconstrued that overblown, studio-bankrolled and talent-supplied web project as the work of some ambitious independent visionary. That travesty had backing by both Warner Bros. and NetherRealm Studios, the new game's design company, and each installment couldn't have been made for less than what the original conceptualization short cost in its entirety. Not saying that this instance doesn't show that industry and perseverence can take you places in your craft, but trying to pass Legacy off as the product of a single individual created in their leisure time seems a bit much.
