NBA 2010/11 Season Discussion

JR Smith is probably hoping Melo gets traded, so he can be the star.

I bet this is why Melo wants to be traded.

JR's reaction was like "It's cuz of melo! Get'em off the court!"

JR's a showboater so he might not even realize melo is gone.

Wow, that's the first time I've seen a team leave their star player laying out on the floor like that without calling a timeout right away, Melo better go to NY.

[Kaiju]

No one called a TO hahha WTF! Coaches are allowed to call timeouts too. Just ask Doc Rivers, who can run out on the floor during game play and not even get a T. :O_O:

Doc is a P-Emp. That's why.

His son is a stud. Austin Rivers will hopefully go top 5 in the Draft.

More on the Melo situation:

ESPN reports that in the past 72 hours, Carmelo Anthony's representatives have increased pressure on Denver to deal the superstar to either the Knicks or Bulls before training camp opens next week.

The Knicks remain Anthony's top choice but the Bulls are now firmly established as a close second. The Nets and Rockets are also in the picture.

Some within the Denver organization favor slowing down the process, hoping that Anthony might reconsider his stance once he is back with the team on a daily basis.

The Knicks are offering either Danilo Gallinari or Anthony Randolph, but not both, along with the expiring contract of Eddy Curry. New York may also include its 2014 first-round pick.

The Bulls appear to be unwilling to offer Joakim Noah, proposing instead a deal centered around Luol Deng, Taj Gibson and a first-round pick.

Contrary to a recent report, the Rockets are not making Kevin Martin available in their bid to acquire Anthony.

Forreal? I never seen him play.

To be honest I can't be that surprised his pops, was in the league AND played with Dominique.

But hey, you never know when a luke walton might pop up.

I hope the NBA creates a stricter Bargaining Agreement soon as I feel like NBA players have too much power to control their destinies. When a player tries to force a trade just because they want more playing time or because he has friends joining forces (cough*Lebron*cough), that is not right since they are already guaranteed their money from their contracts. The NBA needs to change that so players will stay motivated and want to stay with the team that drafted them. To see guys like Lebron, Bosh, Stoudamire, and all these guys leave to another team makes you feel like no one will ever stick with one team. This makes it harder for fans to support the team. Instead, the fans will support the player which is not cool. This is just my opinion.

Amare and Boozer left because the Suns and Jazz were going nowhere. Every player has a right to leave. It's just how and why it's done.

Also, Don Nelison is stepping down as coach of Warriors. Keith Smart will be the new coach.
