As sad as it is to see the game go (and I would have like to see it myself) I can't really blame Capcom for this move. Lets face it, outside of a vocal minority, this game was not going to sell at all.
Mega Man's star has dimmed considerably over the years and the Legends series was niche even for that audience. So, while it's disappointing from a fandom standpoint, from a corporate standpoint it makes sense to cut out a money hole like that.
I mean, the only real success story the Blue Bomber's had this decade is Mega Man 9. 10, while not a failure, apparently was a huge step down in sales from 9 once the novelty of the retro style wore off.
Maybe it's time for Mega Man to disappear for a while. Let people forget about him for a little bit before making a big comeback in something.
