Tom DeFalco has confirmed that Marvel will be reviving Peter and MJ's marraige as the new back-up strip for the Spider-Man Family anthology magazine. The strip, "Mr and Mrs Spider-Man" will explore the pre-Mayday history of the MC2 Universe that Spider-Girl belongs to.

SPIDER-MAN FAMILY #9
Written by PAUL TOBIN
Art by DEREC AUCOIN
Cover by SALVA ESPIN
Spider-Man, the friendly neighborhood…chaperone? When the S.H.I.E.L.D. helicarrier races off to fight a hostile UFO, Nick Fury asks (okay, tells) Spider-Man that he needs to watch after Bruce Banner. Now all Spidey needs to do is convince a city full of assorted thieves and felons (and…DANG…Dr. Octopus!) to KEEP IT DOWN for the day, cuz, you know, this is the guy that turns into the Hulk. PLUS: the story no one thought they would see, the debut of all-new backup feature "Mr. & Mrs. Spider-Man"! In this first installment, using their individual talents, Peter and Mary Jane Parker join forces to prevent the Lizard from destroying his own family.
104 PGS./Rated A …$4.99

About that Mr & Mrs. Spider-Man...I guess that someone should have mentioned that it is will be writen by me and feature a much younger version of our favorite of our favorite web-stunner.

I'm glad the MC2 Spidey universe is getting an expansion on it's history, but I'd prefer it if DeFalco were given a full MC2 Spider-Man comic rather than be forced to tell shorter storylines in a low-selling magazine like this.

Even still, it's nice to know that Marvel is finally acknowledging that not a single person was happy with the decisions Joe Quesada made in "One More Day", except for himself :shakefist

DeFalco confirmed at a Chicago convention that the artist for this strip will be his usual Spider-Girl collaberator, and well-known Spider-Man artist Ron Frenz.

Diamond is still listing a BND next to Amazing each week, which is what they do during events, so right now I still don't buy that The BND crap is perminant, I also don't buy Amazing Spider-man.

For an EIC to be selected, the higher-ups have to elect him over a list of others...and he IS the official guy running the company.

Christ is he stupid.

This surprises anyone?! Really? You know that american comic book ALWAYS return to the well known status quo. Nothing sticks for long.

I definatly see Marvel eventually give up and finally acknowledge MC2 as the true Spider-Man canon. This strip merly allows readers to have closure to "our" Spider-Man, which never completly recovered from the 1999 Howard Mackie reboot. Tom DeFalco's orignal ending was to bring back Mayday in "The Final Chapter" not Aunt May, and with this story he might be able to explore that area, along with other developments like Felicia and Flash's marraige and a larger role for classic, overlooked characters like Kaine.

I heard Stan Lee was talking to some Spider-Man fans at the convention, and he told them that if sales continue to dip, the marraige is going to be restored, so it's not a surprise at all. The days of long-term controversy ended years ago.

Yeah, at Comic Con Joe Q said we vote with our Dollars. I know that Amazing sales in Central Michigan have plummeted I wonder what it's like everywhere else.
