Took out Maleficent. Combo of using the Genie from afar and then getting up close and personal with Tinkerbell's continuous heals was enough to take her down with relative ease.

Now... Rikku...... the fight's tough, but not impossible.

guard is your best friend.

so is the glide.

I tried that, and then Sora only holds up the guard for a nano-second before putting it down, the Riku jacks me up somethin' fierce. :sly:

Then I gotta try again, but I gotta sit through 10 minutes of cut scene before I can fight again. That's something that really needs fixing in this game. :redface2:

There was no way to skip cut scenes in the first game? There's one in II, and I *sort of* recall reading they added one in for the Final Mix (the re-release in Japan with all the stuff added for the English release plus more.) It's been a while since I played the first one.

For the Chain of Memories question:

[HIDE]Try to have a lot of high-level cards (8's & 9's) in your deck, and a few 0's so you can Card Break when Riku does Dark Aura or whatever that crazy attack is where he jumps around everywhere, because that's usually what does the most damage.

That fight took me a few weeks to get through, and having to go through the cut scene every time didn't help any either.

Thankfully they fixed it in KH2. The trick to this fight is once Riku starts building up power, glide like a mother fucker. You'll dodge the whole thing.

I never did in KH 1. I have to in 2 to get the secret ending, which means some serious levelling.
