Kingdom Hearts - Talkback

Fayt is right, the secret movie "Another Side, Another Story" is basically a teaser. It's short and probably won't make much sense yet, but it is pretty cool, and from what I've read does play a role in the plot for KH2.

The KH Final Mix version (which only came out in Japan, and has everything the US version added plus more new stuff) has a longer version of the secret movie called "Deep Dive". Again, just a teaser, but it's worth checking out. I would *think* that you can probably find both of them online somewhere, but just wait until you beat the game to watch them if you don't decide to go for ASAS on your own.

Are you planning on playing KH: Chain Of Memories for GBA after this?

I was gonna skip Chain of Memories. Card system in there drove me nutty as did needing to find the right card-key to open up gorram doors.

That was just too frustrating for me.

The card thing was a pain at first. There's a lot of strategy involved and it can seem very overwhelming early on (I think I fought one boss at least a dozen times before finally winning) but once you basically figure it out it can actually be a lot of fun.

The door thing only bugged me at the end, where I needed a certain amount of points to open up a door, and it took a while to find the right numbered cards.

More importantly, there's a big chunk of plot development for the story. I think Nomura said that it wouldn't be essential to play it to enjoy KH2, but a lot of the new characters & places in that that first appeared in CoM will make more sense. Again, you can probably easily find a summary out there. Most of the worlds you go through are from the original game (although there's a good reason why) but at least one of the new ones will figure into KH2.

It's really up to you, but if the storyline's important to enjoying the game, I'd recommend at least try to find out what happens in CoM before diving into the second one (for example, the whole game script is up on GameFAQs.)

you can also find the ending and sumation of KH:CoM on the web.

then again, yo umay not have to when KH2 comes out because in the first level there will be a board called "MUSEUM" and you will be able to recap events from both previous games (this was in the latest EGM i believe, i saw the page scans on kkh-2.net)

For those of you who have done it, do you need to get all the trinities to get the secret ending, or just the puppies, keyholes and Hades Cup?

We're working on the puppies now, and we've got all the keyholes, so we just need to finish Hollow Bastion again, beat the Hades Cup, and we should be set, I hope.

I don't think you need the Trinities...I missed one (the one you can't ever get if you miss...it was in Oogie's manor) and I still got the movie at the end.
