Kevin McKidd Says He's a Thor Contender

Kevin McKidd, who currently stars on "Grey's Anatomy," told IGN that he's still a contender for the lead role in Marvel Studios' Thor.

The actor, most known for "Journeyman" and "Rome," says there's been "a lot of back and forth" but that nothing has been determined. He acknowledged that Kenneth Branagh is directing it, a choice that makes him even more excited about the film.

Marvel Studios is targeting a July 16, 2010 release for Thor.

Neither of them would work. They don't have the physique to be believable in the role. Remember, Thor looks like this.

Considering they want to make it a serious movie and not an abysmal flop, i very much doubt they would pick some one like Triple H. He can barely act when doing the wrestling thing. Also, about the other guy, don't let looks from a couple shows fool you. Real actors can do things that surprise us.

It's always a problem trying to fit a real life person into a comic book character's profile. Some work better than others, of course, but still...
