Kento Handa: Worst Kamen Rider Actor Ever?

Kento Handa's like an alien/android combo, unable to comprehend how human emotions work. Sad thing is, he hasn't made a single improvement in the five years since Faiz, he "acts" exactly the same.

So, I do think that he's the worst actor to play a main Rider. Takayuki Tsubaki is also a weak actor, but he's at least likable. Handa can't even manage that! I think there's times when a weak actor can slide by on their likability factor.

Compared to other rider actors like the ones that played Ryuki, Hibiki, and Den-o, Kento Handa is rather plain and inexperienced. Actually, probably very plain and inexperienced. But, I think he definitely had his moments. And, up until I saw his appearance in the Go-onger ep, I hoped that he would get better. Although it was amuzing to see him in a toku show again, he didnt improve too much. That was sort of a let down. But, despite that, for some reason I still really liked the character Inui Takumi. I liked his harsh attitude and how he interacted with his "friends" and people like Kiba. Maybe that was more on the character side than the actor, but he did an okay job with that.

Now, Koji Seto, on the other hand, really brings down the show for me. If it wasnt for all of the awesome crap happening around him and the talented supporting cast in the show, Kiva would be really bland for me. So, I guess he's down there as well as one of the worst KR actors.

I liked him. I thought he was a good actor. Idk i thought he fit Takumi well. There could have been other actors out there better, but 555 ended up being one of the best Hesei series WITH him. You guys think that someone else could have made it better? What hurt 555 becoming a great show was the cliff hanger ending. Nothing he could have done.

Hiro Mizushima is just as bad in my opinion. If you watched the Kamen Rider Kabuto movie, you'll know what I'm talking about. The guy just can't act sad.

I was neutral toward Inui Takumi as a character, and am the same toward Kento Handa as an actor. I never saw how he was so terrible, even after watching Faiz a second time to see if people were on to something. He was just 'there'.

I was mentioning this in the other thread about how the Seiyuus are really the stars. Takeru is overrated. He doesn't deserve praises at all because actors are supposed to play multiple roles, they are suppose to be versatile, just because he does that in one show doesn't make him awesome.

His hyperbolic sissy-ness ruined the show for me. And really, when he is playing Momo and the others; he pretty much mimics the Seiyuus and the suit actors. You can tell that he is just doing a sloppy parody of what Seiji Takaiwa and Toshihiko Seki are doing. Those two made the character their own, Takeru just copied it, rather poorly too.

I find this argument ridiculous. Actors can be praised for doing any number of things. If you say he can't be praised for his job in Den-O, then you are saying no actor can be praised for any performance they give.

I didn't like Den-O but I also hate this argument about his character. KR shows are supposed to be about heroes doing the right thing. If this guy was such a damn sissy he wouldn't have even become what he became.

He can, I actually think he's a pretty darn good actor...it just never showed up in Kabuto, which is a shame. He really seemed to get a lot better in the roles he had after Kabuto ended.

No, I didn't do any such thing. Not every super hero media is about them doing the right thing, but that is what Kamen Riders are supposed to do.

Not really. A lot of "superhero" stories nowadays focus more on life as a superhero rather than the actual heroics. Or how all superheroes have to be extremely flawed/ hypocritical/ a moral compass in a corrupt world of debauchery.....
Though sentai, Kamen Rider and a few others still have that emphasis on heroics, what it means to be a hero, and the necessity of a hero or do-gooder.
