Nope, it didn't. So there's a chance that you are right. But it does seem like anyone becoming a magician is an established thing.

Well, that was a half-established thing already, wasn't it? So long as you're a Gate that can overcome despair, anyone CAN become a wizard.

But from promotional images, it looks like the golden wizard is in front of all of these "mages," so I would suspect he has a hand in everyone's transformation.

Ah, ok, so the spoiler provider didn't outright say that it'd be an early heisei style AU, it's just your conclusion based on his spoilers.

Didn't one of the previous spoilers that mention the mass produced Riders give a reason for the appearance of more mages though? Maybe the store is just changing due to the situation in the movie, rather than it always being like that.

I'll just be very surprised if they really do something like Paradise Lost or Missing Ace again, considering the way the entire franchise is being handled. That doesn't necessarily mean the movie will fit with the tv show, but I just will be surprised if the main premise is based on an alternate setting.

I don't mean to self promote, but I've been keeping fairly close track of the Wizard movie rumors, I would say based on everything I've looked at, the most definitive answer would be that the Land of Magic may be where the alternate or parallel world is and Haruto may travel there and come back to the Wizard TV show's world. That would basically make them able to do both a tie-in and an AU at the same time more or less. Think the Land of Oz and Dorothy's friends/farmhands being Tinman and the others. My synopsis of the news thus far.

That's actually a good idea. The Haruto and any other characters in the movie being the same ones from the TV series, but they travel to an alternate universe or something.

Yeah, should have made myself clearer on that. Sorry.

The only official information we have is that it's set in the Land of Magic, Haruto will meet a Golden Wizard and the extras had to wear belts and hoodies. It's all very vague at this point.

Kinda makes sense though, he only kicks when he fights or uses weapons. I haven't seen Wizard use his fists at all this season... maybe that's why it's boring for me... I like brutal punches to the face and all brawl out... but that's just me.
