I think this would work better if it was a sub-forum, specially if every series from now on will have it. I never got to say this for the Idol Edge either.

multiple threads are actually better than the mega threads for the server as it spreads out the load and allows for more concurrent discussions without side tracking one for another.

The forum will be moved to a sub forum once it's over, so there won't be clutter.

You know Keith, maybe for "future Rider shows" (and possibly future Sentai shows)..................instead of having one entire forum just for that particular Rider show, why don't you just create one entire forum dedicated primarily for "Kamen Rider" discussions and still be able to have individual episode threads for the new Rider show that is airing

I mean, I've seen it work out well in RangerCrew when they create episode threads for the new Power Ranger episodes WHILE they also continued discussion for other Ranger shows in the same forum section.

You can do it with the Sentai shows as well........while you leave the HJU (toku) thread for the other toku shows

I really don't see what the problem was exactly with the old setup that you guys had to go and change it

I believe the change was so those that either didn't watch it live/raw or are using the slower T-N subs wouldn't be super spoiled.

Remember that often T-N subs come out days after Over-Time's.

So by keeping the discussion more centered you can discuss the show without getting spoiled.

Or so I think.

That was "part of the reason." From what I'm getting from the admins/mods of the site (especially Keith), it was mostly another way to reduce the data load on the server. Reducing the original mega threads to 3000 was one of the original ways, until Keith discovered that other toku forums (primarily the Power Ranger forums) managed their server load by doing separate episode threads for discussions on "currently airing shows."

Although, having a separate thread for "one particular show" seems kind of a bit TOO MUCH. In a way, it could be a "turnoff" to newbie members if they see that a forum is dedicating an entire SECTION to a new show.......especially if they don't like that show. Pretty damn soon in the future, you're gonna get complaints about "why is there no forum section for [THIS RIDER SHOW] or [THIS SENTAI SHOW]"..........then you're gonna have some issues.

That being said, I'm pretty damn sure Keith will be able to adjust to those issues when they arise........since this new procedure is in the INFANT STAGES right now.
