Kamen Rider Wizard, Ep 7 - "Buying Memories"

I like the MotW in this series. So far they've actually had a lot more personality than is usual. Keep it up, Wizard crew

Yeah, I think my only complaint with gnome is the fact that i keep thinking he's suppose to be some kind of fish.

Ok, that's a happy ending and all but... The girl is still a gate!

At least the pianist guy left Japan, so he's safe from 99% of the monsters in the Rider universe, but, plot-wise, what's stopping Medusa from sending another Phantom after the girl? There's bound to be another way to make her lose hope...

I have to say, that was one of the things that really bugged me about this episode. But, it's probably unlikely that their address this again in the future episodes.

The same thing that's stopping them from attacking Rinko and Shunpei. All there emo is gone.

Nope. Haruto went into Shunpei and Rinko's Underworld and destroyed the Phantom residing within them. Even if they were to fall into despair, nothing will happen.

The previous two Gates however, still retain their magic potential and inner phantoms. In the most recent case, what's to stop another Phantom from destroying her house again?

One can argue that she has already stopped looking at the past, so destroying her house wouldn't do much.

Still, the only clue that we have ever gotten to the Phantom's actions is that they are moving according to the Wiseman's will. Meaning to say that he is pulling all the strings in the background and deciding who gets attacked and who does the attacking.

So, one could also assume that each Gate is tied to only 1 specific Phantom. If that Phantom is destroyed by Haruto, the other Phantoms can't attack them.

I don't like this argument. There's no reason why each gate can only be targeted by a specific phantom, unless the Wiseman or Medusa alone has the power to dictate that and that it'll be explained at some point in the show.

Not a great episode, but the fight scenes are great as usual. Looking forward to Phoenix vs Wizard fight.

I don't think it was meant that only one [outer] Phantom can go after them, but more that each person can only have one Phantom inside them. So, for Rinko and Shunpei, since Haruto defeated their inner Phantoms, they can't "grow" a new Phantom inside of them.

Although, that idea is giving me new speculative ideas. Not for Rinko or Shunpei, but Koyomi. What's supposed to happen, is that the Phantom shatters the "shell" of the person who they were born from. Which means the person's dead, and you are limited in the number of Phantoms that can be born. If they could get a hold of Koyomi, though, and find a way to cause her to birth more Phantoms...

So the show addressed that Rinko has been kinda skiving off work to hang out with Haruto and crew and investigating Phantoms even though she's not supposed to. Wonder if that would have consequences in the future.

It seems like it will next episode though that could just be them toying with us with the trailer at the end.

As far as I understand it Gates seem to be very one tracked individuals, they cling to one thing in their life to give them purpose or meaning but by forcing them to accept a truth about their situation seems to lessen the chance of them braking and becoming a phantom.

That said nothings stopping phantoms from trying again but with their eyes opened it must make it a great deal harder to 'open' the gate.
