Japan doesn't have a 24 hour anything. The don't have a Cartoon Network or Nickelodeon where children's programming runs 24/7. They only have select hours of the day where programs run. Like tokusatsu and anime on Sundays or Wednesday, News everyday until 7 or so, Asadora at 8, variety programming in the afternoon etc for example. It's all set. So yeah, watching the news is pretty important if you can only catch it 3 times a day.

Just gonna throw out my random thoughts on Wizard Episode the Third ...

-Theme song sucks. Don't like it. It's a shame cause I've really wanted Toei to get back to having male vocalists. I actually like the singer ... he sounds good. But the song itself just blows goats. I really hope that Wizard pulls a Blade and gets a new theme around episode 30. Seriously, if you're going to go through the trouble of getting Rider Chips back ... HAVE THEM DO THE THEME SONG!

-Rinko is the new Yuuki. I can't stand her. So far I don't see her adding anything to the show. She just isn't convincing as a police officer in any way, shape or form.

-Shunpei ... I like him. There's a lot of potential for his character. Lots of ways he could grow. They'll probably just make him "wacky sidekick guy" though. :disappoin

-I found myself really into the story for this episode. It was predictable, but for some reason I felt more emotionally invested towards the end (as Haruto raced to the TV station) than I have in a long time. Maybe it's just me, but the writing in Wizard (so far) feels more nuanced than what we've been getting from Kamen Rider recently.

What was wrong with Yuuki? She was adorable. She wa sno Akiko or Hina, but still.

I want Rinko to be Kaoru Ichijo or Makoto Hikawa, and she may just become that. Right now though she hasn't done much more then finding where Haruto lives...with no real explination other then 'I'm a detective, so I just can".

Sunpei might turn out to be that guy that starts out light, but then gets approached later with an offer to be a rider, only to turn it down to stay with his friends, only to end up as the rider later anyway. Kinda like Gotou...but less useful in the mean time. He reminds me of Gokai Silver.

Like the theme...but it doesn't take much out of a rider theme to impress me. Not much at all.

I write this now out of bordem so don't think it's because I don't agree with all your points NAND. Well...I don't...but I do understand where you are coming from.

How was Sawada a yandere? He was more of a sociopath with bad taste in music. He had no real love interests (I dunno how much of his care for Mari was actually honest).

Actually the BBC runs a 24/7 news channel here in the UK. And a dedicated politics channel. And a kids channel. BBC3 is a dedicated teen/young adult channel (though it only broadcasts after 7pm, not all day). BBC4 is dedicated to documentaries and the arts (again, it only broadcasts after 7pm). Only BBC1 and 2 really have a structure of different kinds of program at different times of the day, and even then it's generally accepted that BBC1 airs the safest, most popular stuff while BBC2 airs slightly more specialist stuff. And the BBC isn't the only TV broadcaster in the country.

It's overall a similar situation to Japan I guess, in that there are a small number of big national stations that get most of the viewers and a lot of digital channels fighting for the rest.

I have been educated on a matter I never took the tiime to research. Thank you toku prime. So I assume it is it's own company then? Every time I hear the name I have this weird thought of it being controled by the government. It is silly I know but I am what I am.

Most (not all, of course) people don't like her 'cause of the arcs Riku Sanjo wrote which made her into a psuedo-expy of Akiko, which didn't fit all that well.
