Kamen Rider Wizard, EP 20 -"Learning the Truth"

Can we please leave the discussions/videos/pics about next weeks episode out of these posts? It's impossible to find spoiler free topics anywhere on this board now, I thought these were specifically for this weeks episodes.

Dude it's the preview. How is that a spoiler? It airs right after the episode for the world to see.

DUDE THIS INTRO CHANGE IS AWESOME, WITH BEAST THESE NEW TRANSITIONS IN THE INTRO ARE SEEMLESS AND THE STORY SEEMS NOW TO ACTUALLY BE PROGRESSING A LITTLE MORE, IM LIKING THIS ALLOT. STILL DOESN'T HAVE THAT OOOs OR FOURZE LEVEL OF PROGRESS IN STORY BUT STILL PRETTY WELL SO FAR I THINK.

And the sponsorship promo's that play after the intro often show spoilers for the current episode. That doesn't mean I want to watch them, ruining the events of the current story and completely destroying any narrative flow the writers intended there to be.

If everyone else has no problem with it, that's fine, I'm not going to whine about it. I just don't see the point of having a topic dedicated to the latest episode, if everyone is going to post stuff about upcoming events instead. We have a million other threads discussing that stuff, rumours, leaks and speculation. Can't we have one spoiler free discussion topic?

I don't know about Fourze. Wizard has had a plot point in almost every episode. It was around this time when Fourze was pretty stagnate

Wizard 20:

- Superimposing Haruto's head on a muscleman's body... huh... I don't know what to say to that.

- Is that supposed to be a housewife? Somehow she comes off as a college graduate who goes out with friends at night and doesn't work.

- Nice to see use of other forms without going into Flame first.

- Why is Haruto using magic in front of regular people, and no one notices?

- I'm guessing this episode is a bit of social commentary. But if all those women are supposed to be married, then this looks some warped imitation of gossipy American women.

- I wonder if Phoenix may end up having a bit of Yugo remaining in him. Perhaps he might be the one, if there won't be others, redeemable Phantom. Or this may just end sadly per usual grim-natured Rider.

- Why is Shiho referring to her husband with "kun"?

- It's good to see Rinko being a competent policewoman for once instead of being more comic relief.

I think we're supposed to find this Gate incredibly annoying to basically show her position. I ended up feeling really sorry for her because of the Phantom's plan.

I think that's how wives usually act, by playfully calling them by the honorific you'd usually use for a boy.

Or they knew each other since childhood and it is just an old habit. I also thought it could be used as a sign of familiarity between two people. I don't completely understand honorifics yet.

I liked the moments with Shunpei and Rinko in this episode, where Shunpei wasn't a goofball and Rinko acted like a semi-convincing detective. My guess is that Phoenix will gain some audience sympathy if these encounters are repeated.

Kind of odd that Nitou just popped up, but I'm guessing the "problem" of his mana dependency will be a big deal later so I can wait for his moment. I'd like to see him forge a unique bond with another supporting cast member down the line. While not absolutely necessary, it would be a good way to anchor his presence in the story.

I've noticed that in J-dramas, older women tend to call the husband "-san" and younger women say "-kun." I don't know if it's the same in the real world, but it seems to be accepted on TV. Akiko still called Terui "Ryu-kun" after they got married ...
