Then how come he still has that Greeed right hand in his Shingo form? That was back when he only could materialize one arm due to those missing Core Medals, but now that he has pretty much all of his medals (except for the one destroyed by Putotyra and another medal kept by Hina), he should look as if he's on the verge of completion. IMO anyway.

It's the fact that one core medal activates and snatches up the cell medals first; then gets more cores.

On the topic of Ankh so called turning on OOO: I guess since he's got a body, he's going to use that to gather all of the cores, become OOO, and seal them (including the putotyra medals. remember he couldn't hold them in his "hand" form?) to save Eiji while being a dick (normal for Ankh). He loves that guy :169:

You know, I do wonder why you all have such little faith in Ankh, I know he's still a Greed and still wishes to have a complete body, but to go against Eiji, I know he has some betrayal issues but in the end Ankh has often shown a lot of trust in OOO past and present. I mean he even thanked Eiji and I mean entrusting a medal to Hina, I have the feeling that Ankh is going to become the vessel so that Eiji can get all the cores

The bromance is strong in this series.

I rewatched this episode again (this time with sub), and I discovered that Eiji actually destroyed three of Ankh's Core Medals. This means Ankh can never achieve 100% completion for his Greeed body, and perhaps this motivates him to offer himself as a vassel for all the medals to Dr. Maki.

Even if he had all nine medals he would never be complete since his 10th medal should've already been destroyed. At this point the only Greeed who should be able to become complete are either Eiji or Maki.

If anything, episode 42 served to showcase that Shu has a pretty good acting range.

He went for fearful, to depressed, to optimistic, to confused, to determined, and finally to angry throughout the episode.
