Kamen rider & Metal hero

Beast King

The new breed.
I was watching Sharivan yesterday and i couldn't help but notice how much it resembles what we see in Kamen rider today, Now as we know the metal hero franchise is no more so my question is, could the Metal hero's have contributed to what we see in Kamen rider nowadays? I.E Swords, Heavy arsenal etc.etc which would lead to not needing a new metal hero show?

Thats a known fact. RX was the most obvious example
Take the Space Sheriffs, Jaspion or Spielban, give them bug eyes and remove all the good writing and acting, and then you pretty much have a modern KR show...

I am surprised they haven't changed "Henshin" to "Souchaku" yet

Well, they put "Souchaku" in one of their first figure lines (Souchaku Henshin) for Kamen Rider, and still in SH Figuarts. Weird that they use the word "souchaku", when there's nothing to 'equip' in the SH Figuarts line these days.

Yes. Heisei Kamen Rider (Agito to current) is a definate nod to Metal Heroes. You can see alot more similiarites from the Jiban-BF Kabuto era aswell.

I was told that either Ryuki, Faiz, or Blade was originally intended to be a Metal Hero, but eventually got changed to Kamen Rider. Not sure if this is true though.

I really don't think the influence was that big. It's just that Tokusatsu in general changed and Kamen Rider changed with it, rather than trying to stick with its basis.

In the early 80s, Super-1 already started introducing a large number of weapons/attacks with the multiple gloves and ZX had heavy chest armor and weapons (although only one or two, IIRC). Black went back to basics, but it was a direct attempt at restarting the franchise, just look at the story, which yet again returned to the modified human turning against the organization that created him and didn't feature ties to any previous series.

Metal Hero doesn't have exclusive use of large arsenals, look at Sentai shows too. Besides, Metal Hero, with its constant image changes that make Heisei Rider look like a perfectly consistent franchise, just lacked an identity. There's only so much influence something like that can be considered to have.

It supposedly was Ryuuki.

It's Simple and Heroic Figuarts.
