It wasn't just 2 seconds, he took at least 20 + episodes to build a pure heart to fight as Ultimate Kuuga. Heck nearly the whole series had Godai trying to stay pure as a plot point. If he didn't he would end up the same as Daguba.

Pretty much ever since Rising Mighty's debut and the discovery of the 4 horned Daguba symbol, Godai been trying to control Kuuga. You know, they had conferences where they discussed how dangerous it was for Godai to be Kuuga and becoming stronger. They've been hinting it since like the first 10 episodes, where Tsubaki says the Amadam is similar to the Grongi's stones.

Since I frequently speak with the guys on MCS on MSN I felt compelled to watch Kuuga and I must say in all seriousness I enjoyed the hell out of it. The competence of the police was a complete breathe of fresh air and i truly did grow to love Yusuke Godai as a protagonist and his struggle.

Right now, I'm on ep. 12 and I gotta say I really love it 
This is my first Kamen Rider show, so I guess it's a good way to start since this is the show that revived the Kamen Rider franchise.
I love how the police are involved, not many toku shows (epically sentai, except maybe Timeranger and Dekaranger) show the police fighting the monsters. I really enjoy that.
Also I like Godai Yuske a lot (even though he's a Borderline Sue)

People definitely had that reaction to Godai originally, as the Showa riders were all macho and manly, and Godai was nice and a bit childish. The ran with the nice guy thing for awhile, and it worked out well. Then we started seeing varying personalities of the main riders, from loner in Takumi, to mature in Hibiki, and cocky like Tendou and Tsukasa.

So honestheart17 followed the advice of many to start his KR journey with Kuuga..nice one..=)
I like the way Godai calms everyone around him..he is the only rider in this series but he never failed to take away the fear of the cops or his friends when fight the grongi..
I remember a scene where he was on his bike on his way to fighting a grongi and he sends a message thru 2 way radio telling the cops to "don't forget to wear your jackets..you might get colds because of the cold weather."..then you see the cops' faces go from scared to a smiling face..=)
