i didnt see relationship between King of Fangires with Dark Kiva, afaik king was equipped with Saga System and if you've watched previous episode, kivatbat go around maya, queen of fangire.

slickenside: I did, but noticed that Saga's attack had the Kiva insigna. Plus, Kivat 2 being with Maya was actually a hint of her relation to Wataru. Also, 1986' King wields the sword that is modifed in 2008 as the Zanvat Sword.

I'll explain it for **** now... People didn't bother reading when it was there, but now, read this:

Dark Kiva is Otoya... He will fall in love with Maya quite soon. She will hand him Kivatbat the II. He will become Dark Kiva and fight 86's King who is prob Saga (maybe not). He uses the Zanvat Sword, yes, because it's HIS sword. There is no Zanvat Bat on it in 86, it was just created in 2008 to help Wataru control the sword.

Otoya falling in love with Maya, being handed Kivatbat the II, fits with Otoya is his father, Maya's his mother, and Kivatbat the II had Kivatbat the III and had him grow up with Wataru.

Thus when Otoya in Wataru's body in 2008 said he was Otoya to Kivatbat the III, he said "Father talked about him" so possibly, this fits my theory that Otoya dies because of using Dark Kiva since he is just a human and has no Fangire blood to help him Henshin. And it was said that 86's Kiva, Dark Kiva, went on a rampage that could have destroyed humanity, probably because of Maya. I think he got mad because Maya must have been attacked by both humans and Fangires. Humans, of course the Aozora won't leave Fangires alive, and Fangires, she betrayed them, having Wataru. Thus, that might actually be where she got her eye patch and had to escape sometime when Wataru was a kid and live in the cave because some still came after her...

slickenside: No, rather than only the Fangire King can assume the full power of Kiva (the name a pun of KIng of VAmpire). As for Saga, it may be more of a "princely title". Later episodes could explain it.

Japaneseseriesfan: Doubt that, I can see Otoya using IXA (1986 Burst Mode debut?) to fight King/Dark Kiva though.

Otoya is more than likely DarkKiva, though it is King's suit. King doesn't need Kivat to transform, just Tatsulot.

At the least, Otoya will get DarKKiva near the end. King may use the powers first.
