Kamen Rider Gaim - News/Rumors Thread 2: Suffering Incoming

Wait... Wasn't it assumed that the Golden Fruit can actually revive a dead person, but consumed afterwards? As far as I remember, Roshuo wanted to revive his wife by using Earth's apple, but Redyue offered him an alternative way so that she can get the apple in exchange, right? And considering that there's a new golden fruit on the planet that Kouta is, I don't see why he couldn't pull off the same thought as Roshuo, but actually executing it.

We don't really know whether that machine would have worked; it was killing the humans who were attached to it, but we never got to see whether it would actually have brought Overlord Queen back. It was pretty much always presented that she would not and was never meant to be revived. The show does give death a sense of finality, it's not something where characters can just be brought back randomly as they are in (for instance) Sentai Vs Movies or the ending of Fourze when Kengo was resurrected. That's why Takatora choosing to return and help Micchy was such a big deal, he would probably have been happier to die (even Kouta acknowledged that) but he'd never be able to come back

I agree with what you're saying. What I'm trying to say is that Roshuo seemed quite certain that the apple could revive his wife. Even if it was never actually addressed, there's still the possibility of the apple having such a power. It's quite logical for it to have such a power, especially if it gets consumed afterwards. If they did decide to actually do this, I would be happy if it goes on like that. After all, Kouta would most probably be against seeing his new beings to fight each other for the fruit and proceed to keep the fruit away from them.

When Kouta fight Roshuo, He can create horde of Invess. At that time Kaito mention about Golden Fruit can make a new life. But in fact, we see Roshuo is grieving and saying about Golden Fruit can do almost anything but can't revive his loved one.
Maybe Golden Fruit can make a new life but that new life is not same with the one who lost.
Maybe Roshuo succesfully give a new life to his wife but still it is not his wife but walking corpse without any memories or emotion like his wife.

But is interesting how they can make movie for Kaito and I assume it will be Jin Haganeya again for its scriptwriter.
I rather Kaito still not alive after Full Throttle. I still remember Kouta cry as he stab Kaito, Kaito is a proof for how cruel path that Kouta must to chose. It will feel like betrayal to Gaim ending if Kaito just alive like that.
I hope it will be in between series or if it must be after Full Throttle, it will be :
1) Kaito life for some limited time because Megahex power, but still disappeared at ending.
2) Kaito still as spirit of tree :) who can sometimes appear when there is someone in need. As ghost who can transform. Okay, I'm laughing to my own post.

But we are pretty much getting a Sentai style resurrection for Kaito in Full Throttle though. And nothing we know about that suggests that it's somehow limited and he'll die if Megahex is killed. Of course, I guess that's the usual way these things go and it's very likely to happen, but if they wish to push this forward without dealing with an odd "side-story between the episodes of the series" (which is hard to do with Gaim due to its serial nature), they might just keep him alive at the end.

Seems like Zangetsu and Baron are getting a spin-off V-cinema like thing in April...

I wanted to ask... Will this be in the style of W Returns? As in being 2 spin-offs? Or is going to be one spin-off with both of them? I could see the latter happening, most probably showing Kaito's childhood, but then prolonging to the show's side-story, so that we can actually see Baron.

I agree. The Golden Fruit most probably can't revive someone (which I consider taking his soul/spirit and putting it back in his -restored- body). But like you said, the Golden Fruit can create new life, and I don't see how it cannot create a new life inside a dead body. I'm not an expert or know anything about how the brain stores and holds memories, but I suppose that as long as it has not been degraded a lot, giving a new life into Kaito's dead body (and restoring it, of course) means that this new life will have the same memories Kaito had till death. The only difference is the spirit, which is not Kaito's. Unlike Kaito, though, Roshuo's wife's body might have totally been degraded, so the only thing he could do was to share his memories of her with the new life. But in both cases, the person might look and be just like the one that died, but the spirit is clearly not the same. So yeah... Oh well, this gets quite complicated...

For Kaito's side story, if they don't go for the prequel type of storytelling I would love to have a story where Kaito is basically in limbo trying to come to terms to the fact that he is dead. It would be a good opportunity to bring characters that died back.

Do we need them? Sid was a huge douchebag. Minato had basically nothing to her other than her Kaito-obsession. Yuuya appeared so briefly we know nothing about him other than that he was Kouta's friend and caused Kouta the guilt of accidentally killing him. Hase was also killed, so he did not get the chance to grow as a character.

I feel like just summing Sid up as a douchebag is a HUGE disservice to the character. I mean plot-wise, he was the biggest player of the first arc. He was the one making everything happen, and was the epicenter of the constantly upping ante. Once he became a rider he got decidedly less interesting, but the character was intriguing nonetheless.

Sid a douchebag? Dude... The guy had phychological problems beyond "repair"... All he wanted was to be free. If he managed to get the Golden Fruit, he would most probably use it against those that pressured him throughout his life and then just make a huge house and live there forever happily. No kiddin'.

Minato could come back due to how she felt for Kaito. It may be the only reason, but at least it would be logical.

Hase... You know it's kind of ironic. When Hase and Jounouchi debuted as riders, they managed to beat Kaito. Then Hase procceded to destroy Kaito's belt so that he couldn't use it anymore. They could easily make "fun" of his fate, which may have been Kaito's if he did manage to destroy his belt, hence altering the whole story, but got karma'd in the face.

As for Yuuya, I agree. Unless they come up with a pre-Gaim story that makes Yuuya and Kaito knowing each other and having some kind of connection, there is nothing they could use him for. And I doubt they could do that too since Kaito never cared about Yuuya, or even spoke of.

Just because Sid has a Freudian Excuse doesn't excuse thefact he really was a sociopathic asshole who tried to kill Kouta just because Kouta's optimism annoyed him.
